3LAB Review

Overview

The 3LAB products were developed by two chemists and a dermatologist in three different laboratories. The result is a skin care line that claims to treat facial wrinkles by filling in fine lines with Promatryx and Hydranox complexes. Skin brighteners will reduce an uneven skin tone and effectively diminish discoloration. The products also promise to put elasticity and collagen back into the user’s skin, leaving it looking more radiant. It's a pretty tall order for any product to successfully complete, which may in part explain the high price tag on the entire anti-aging line. Every product by 3LAB is created with the highest quality of ingredients and the manufacturers claim to test all products three times to ensure that they can deliver what is promised.

There are many specific anti-aging products in the 3LAB line to choose from, including the WW Cream that promises to reduce the effects of aging while brightening the skin. The Perfect Eye Cream boosts collagen to the sensitive area under the eyes, and the Perfect C Serum will pump up the collagen volume over the entire face. One of the newest additions to the line is the Perfect H Serum, which contains a “bio-engineered human growth hormone” for maximum anti-aging benefits.

Product Details

While we could not find a specific ingredient listing for the 3LAB line, the website does state that the line is rich in antioxidants and an anti-aging complex that includes Co-Q10, DMAE, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin E, Ester C and seaweed extracts. The H Serum also contains the bio-engineered human growth hormone that has been touted as one of the up and coming anti-aging ingredients. This substance supposedly works by increasing the regeneration of skin cells and reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

The site also promises that the products are created with the most innovative substances and processes for the most effective anti-aging formulas around. It is a combination of nature and science within these formulas that provides the positive results. The products claim to reverse the aging that the sun causes and prevent future damage from occurring. The basic mantra of this line is that the products are designed to "refresh, renew and repair the skin".

The Good

• There is a wealth of experience in skin care among the founders of the company (more than 60 years combined) and the products are scientifically tested three times.
• The ingredients focus on specific anti-aging results, with collagen boosters and human growth hormone, so the products are much more than glorified moisturizers.

The Bad

• The price tag can be a major turn off, with the H Serum selling for around $200 and the cream priced as high as $400. Other products in the line sell for a bit less.
• The complete list of ingredients is not easily available.
• There may be other products that can have the same positive effect for a lot less cash.
• No free trial sample is available for first-time users.

The Bottom Line

The products in the 3LAB line are clearly very scientifically advanced. But this comes with a very high price tag. While some 3LAB products could make a good treat if you’ve got a big special occasion to get ready for, overall we’d probably select a more affordable wrinkle fighter. There are several products out there that make use of cutting-edge, proven peptides and that retail for a fraction of the price that 3LAB treatments do.
