Aloe Life Body is a product based on the aloe plant. The product is widely sold all over the internet for the treatment of a number of conditions including dry skin, sun damaged skin, sensitive skin and for use as an antioxidant. The manufacturer claims that the product contains nutrients for the skin and that this product can be used by both genders and even by children. The vast majority of sites on the internet that sell Aloe Life eagerly mention the healing properties of Aloe Life. Besides producing a smooth skin, Aloe Life Body is claimed to penetrate the skin and produce a soothing and a warm body sensation.

Product Details

The Aloe Life Body product has been formulated with a variety of ingredients including, lanolin, avocado, jojoba oil, vitamins A, C, E, selenium and Zinc. Also present are a variety of herbal extracts and some products also come with aromatic fragrances (vanilla being the most common). Various oils including sunflower and glycerol sterate are also present in the formulation and these function as moisturizing agents.

Jojoba oil is a wax like product that is very similar to the naturally occurring sebum. This oil can coat the skin and protect it from the environment. The combination of Vitamins A, C, E and selenium provide good antioxidant activity. Many of the Aloe Life Body cosmetic products contain zinc. This white powder is often used as a whitening agent and commonly found in sunscreens. It does have the capability to block most UV rays. In small amounts, zinc based formulations are non irritating to the skin.

  • Whiel the Aloe cactus certainly has many nearly miraculous properties, it is unclear how effective many of the additive ingredients may be.

There is no doubt that the Aloe plant has healing properties and over the years many products have been developed based on this plant. The Aloe Body Life product appears to work well as a moisturizer and can even heal some minor skin abrasions. Other ingredients in Aloe Life Body include Zinc and various aromatic oils. These ingredients moisturize the skin and also have UV protection capability. Aloe Life Body is widely available and relatively cheap. No one is claiming anything extraordinary about Aloe Body Life. All in all a decent cheap product which can function in the home as a moisturizer and can even be applied when skin is broken. For the serious skin care lover, Aloe Body Life is not the product of choice, but handy to have around in the house when the skin has an abrasion or is cracked due to dryness.
