AlphaMax is a product line that was created by two dermatologists from Beverly Hills. The official AlphaMax website claims that Jeffrey Marmelzat, MD and his associate, Richard Salit, MD, have performed facial peels on the “most beautiful people in the world”. The popularity of their clinical peels led them to develop a product line that would be easy for people to use at home.

The creators of AlphaMax now work with the Institute for Advanced Skincare, which is based in New York. The official website claims that AlphaMax is produced with only the best ingredients possible and can make your skin more radiant, improve the skin’s tone, reduce fine lines, make your complexion healthier, and reduce the appearance of discoloration spots caused by the sun. Alphamax has just three products available and the website recommends that you buy the three products in a set which saves a little money.

Product Details

Alphamax has three distinct products that are supposed to work together to give you a full anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatment. These three products are the AlphaMax Weekly Instensive Exfoliator Pads, AlphaMax Antioxidant Moisturizer, and AlphaMax Daily Renewal Lotion with AHA-SPF15.

The Alphamax exfoliator pads are saturated with alpha hydroxy acids, which exfoliate the skin and reveal the healthy skin underneath. The AlphaMax Moisturizer contains anti-oxidants such as vitamins A, C, and D as well as various plant extracts and oils. The goal of this moisturizer is to prevent further free radical damage to your skin. The AlphaMax renewal lotion contains a mix of ingredients from the other two products. There are alpha hydroxy acids, as well as various vitamins and extracts. The lotion also contains a mild sunblock to help keep your skin from getting damaged by UV rays.

The Good

The Bad

  • Not many testimonials are posted compared to other brands.
  • As with any facial peel product, some people may experience side effects such as stinging, burning, or reddening of the face.
  • The entire ingredients list of AlphaMax products isn't listed on the official website.

The Bottom Line

If you are looking for a facial peel system that isn't very expensive, AlphaMax might be fairly appealing. We don't really see any outstanding ingredients in these products that would make them a better choice than similar products, but the price is low for three separate items. Facial peels aren't usually the first choice when you are looking for anti-aging products so you may want to consider a cream or serum that contains hyaluronic acid, collagen, or other similar well known wrinkle fighters. However, a facial peel could work well for a short-term fix before a big occasion.
