The Arcona official website says that the skin range was established in Los Angelos by a holistic skin care specialist and chemist named Arcona, hence the name of the range of skin products. Arcona says that what makes their skin care products different from others on the market is the way in which the ingredients in their products are combined and processed. One of their main anti aging products is a product know as Green Ice Tea. Arcona says that Green Ice Tea is an active regenerating complex for mature and sun damaged skin. They say that Green Ice Tea boosts collagen and elasticin production to renew the skin from inside out. They say that it also repairs skin at a cellular level with pentapeptides. Arcona says that Arcona’s Green Ice Tea also increases the production of collagen and elasticin with epidermal growth factor. The Green Ice Tea product apparently also defends and hydrates the skin.

The range of Arcona products can be purchased from the Arcona Spa in Los Angeles. The official Arcona website also has a facility which allows you to locate authorized spas and resellers closer to your area. The popular product Green Ice Tea is sold as part of an Arcona product package called the Basic Five Aging/Environmental Damaged Skin Type package. For the price of $206, your will receive a skin care package which includes the Green Ice Tea complex, as well as cleansers and exfoliating treatments. The website does not give the price for purchasing this product on its own.

The official website states that the ingredients in Green Ice Tea consist of Chlorophyll, Essential Fatty Acids, Enzymes and Vitamins. The website does not give a comprehensive ingredients list for this product, nor does it provide any clinical evidence that Green Ice Tea really does increase the production of collagen and elasticin.

The Bottom Line

We do not say that receiving a facial in an Arcona Spa, where you can then go onto purchase products such as Green Ice Tea, is not a pleasant experience! However, the question we are concerned with is whether this product really does do what the manufacturers say it does, especially once you get it home. The manufacturers do not provide any clinical evidence that the product will really increase the level of collagen and elasticin in the skin, and the benefits of green tea applied topically are still unclear. Given the lack of a full ingredient list, we’d leave the take-home skin treatments at the Arcona spas and just enjoy a relaxing day.
