On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewBabor is a professional cosmetic company and they have set up many locations internationally. Babor’s philosophy, according to their website, is one of naturalness, effectiveness, and individuality. Babor was founded almost 50 years ago by Dr. Michael Babor. Dr. Babor had patented a facial cleansing oil. In 1962 another doctor-entrepreneur bought Babor and moved the company’s location to Germany. Today, Babor makes a comprehensive line of skin care products geared towards combating aging in the face and around the eyes. Product DetailsThe line of skin-care available from Babor ranges from products formulated for sensitive skin to products formulated for mature skin. For our article purposes we are reviewing the line for mature skin. This is the Babor lien where the concentration of active ingredients in the products centers around getting rid of wrinkles and lines. First there is the cleanser, the HY-L. This is a cleansing oil made with natural ingredients such as sweet almond extract, Chinese date extract, and ginkgo biloba. Then we move to a Cleansing Scrub, which is formulated for mild peeling. This is an exfoliator than contains grains form ground up peach kernel husks. Next, Babor tries to address skin refining. Here we have a HSR Lifting Cream. This cream contains wheat, oat proteins, Hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E. There is also an HSR Eye Cream. This claims to give you an instant eye lift, and is fragrance free. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineBabor has all the bells and whistles of sophistication, at lest according to the information they provide the public. But without facts and solid research on the website to back up these claims, we don’t really know if it’s effective or not. There are many anti-aging products out there and if a company isn’t giving the consumer the information they want up front, such as full product ingredients’ lists, they will lose potential customers to a competitor who will. We felt left with more questions than answers when it came to the key active ingredient Glutathione, which is listed as very important on their website, but it’s not listed in any of the ingredients of the products they were explaining. This is supposed to be their key ingredient for their products…which product was it in?
