Bellatone Review

On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers.

Overview

Bellatone is a peptide-based cream that bills itself as a Botox alternative. The cream claims to reduce wrinkles by relaxing the muscles of the face and aiding in skin’s natural hydration. It also claims to be doctor recommended, although no recommendations can be found on the official website. Additionally, little information is given about the product’s manufacturer. One of the key active ingredients found in Bellatone is the Spanish manufactured patented peptide Argireline. This peptide has been shown in studies to relax the facial muscles. More research is necessary, but it does indeed appear to mimic some of the muscle-paralyzing effects of Botox injections. Several products on the market today also contain Argireline. Bellatone is also known to include Hyaluronic acid and an unspecified seaweed extract.

A free trial of Bellatone is available from some online retailers, but usually it is necessary to enroll in the product’s auto-ship program to take advantage of this offer. The product appears to come in a spray-pump bottle. Usage instructions for Bellatone direct users to rub the cream between their hands, then apply it to the targeted areas twice per day. Users are instructed to wait two to three minutes before continuing their morning or evening grooming routine. This is to allow the Bellatone to absorb into the skin.

Product Details

Known active ingredients found in Bellatone are: Argireline, Hyaluronic acid, Seaweed extract, distilled water.

Unfortunately, the type of seaweed used is unspecified, making it hard for us to gage the effectiveness, or even the purpose, of this ingredient. Similarly, no full Bellatone ingredient list is given on the official product website. We would certainly like to know more about the inactive ingredients in this product, and also get a better idea of the full product formulation. The official Bellatone website claims that the product is “all natural,” and we’d like to see some info to verify that claim.

We do know that Argireline is a patented peptide manufactured by a third party laboratory in Spain. Early product studies show that it does have muscle-relaxing properties, meaning that it can ease tense facial muscles that lead to wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a known moisturizer, and in some studies it has been shown to leave skin looking softer and fuller. Both of these active ingredients can be found in several leading anti-wrinkle treatments on the market today.

The Good

  • Product contains two tested active ingredients.
  • Free trial available if you agree to enroll in auto-ship program (it is possible to opt-out before this kicks in, although we’re not sure how easy the company will make this.)

The Bad

  • Very little information available about product manufacturers.
  • No full ingredient list given.
  • Website claims to be doctor endorsed, but these endorsements are not posted to official website.
  • No specifics are given on the “seaweed extract” used in this product.

The Bottom Line

It won’t surprise any of our frequent site visitors, but what we want from Bellatone is more information. There are so many creams on the market that claim to imitate Botox without the needles that we’re really looking for a product to make its case. Unfortunately, all we’re left with after looking into Bellatone is a lot of question marks. If more information were provided, maybe we could recommend this product, but as it stands we’d probably go with a different anti-wrinkle cream that gives us all of the answers.
