As a company. Benev Inc. aim to develop and pioneer pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical products. With that goal in mind, the California-based company has developed products for the international market, as well as products that have been marketed domestically. According to the official company website, the Benev philosophy is to blend purity with cutting edge lab technology.

Benev products are divided into three distinct categories: Nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and pharmaceuticals. The nutraceuticals are all diet supplement products that claim to promote weight loss, so we will not be discussing those here. Similarly, the official site provides little information on Benev’s line of pharmaceuticals, and the few products they offer in this category seem to focus on hair. It is Benev’s cosmeceuticals that focus on skin care. Here, Benev manufactures exfoliators, moisturizers, sun protection and cleansers. They also offer a category simply referred to as “corrective products,” and pre-packaged sets of product kits.

One of Benev’s leading products that deals with treating and preventing aging skin is their Instant Lifting Serum. The Benev Instant Lifting Serum focuses on relaxing facial muscles, thereby treating and preventing fine wrinkles. Like other anti-aging products on the market, Benev Instant Lifting Serum is a peptide-based product.

Product Details

The Benev Instant Lifting Serum is only available with a skin care professional’s prescription. The active ingredient featured in the Lifting Serum is Argireline, a patented peptide developed and manufactured by a third party laboratory in Barcelona. This peptide has been shown to relax facial muscles, smoothing lines and imitating the effects of Botox injections. However, extensive research has yet to be conducted on this peptide. Also featured in the Benev Lifting Serum is an unspecified Marine Bioplymer. According to the official website, this is “used in traditional Eastern medicine” and will leave your skin feeling softer.

Unfortunately, no complete list of ingredients is given on the official website for Benev Instant Lifting Serum. Argireline and the mysterious Marine Bioplymer are the only two product ingredients given.

The official website does make recommendations of other Benev products that work best with the Lifting Serum.

The Bottom Line

If you’re seeing a dermatologist and they prescribe Benev Lifting Serum for you, they probably know what they’re talking about. Unfortunately, we don’t. Not enough information is given on the official Benev website for us to be able to determine anything but the most basic info on the company’s wrinkle-fighting lifting serum. Like many other anti-aging products on the market, it contains the peptide Argireline, but that’s about all we can say for sure. That, paired with Benev’s prescription-only availability, probably means that most people will look for an anti-wrinkle product that is easier to get a hold of and easier to evaluate.
