Biofirm Lift is one of several skin care products developed and manufactured by the French cosmetics company Biothirm. The company, which has been around for 50 years, incorporates minerals found in French mountain spring water in all of their products. Biothirm has since built several skin care lines around this “miracle mineral.” The company that makes Biofirm Lift has refined the mineral extraction process as well. Today, the ingredient has been patented under the name “Vitreoscilla Ferment,” and this ingredient is found in all of Biothirm’s products, including their Biofirm lift.

The full set of Biothirm products breaks down into: face care, makeup, body care and sun care. Biothirm also makes a line of men’s care. Obviously, the Biofirm Lift product falls under the “face care” category, and that is the category that we will be taking a closer look at here. Different products within the Biofirm line have been formulated to treat different skin types. There are products designed to treat normal, combination, dry, oil and sensitive skin. If you’re unsure about your skin type, consider having it evaluated by a skin care professional. Some Biofirm Lift products are more specifically targeted, and are meant to treat conditions like acne or “dull” complexions. Their wrinkle-fighting products can be put into this group.

We were sorry to see that Biofirm Lift does contain parabens, which are a common preservative. Some parabens have been linked to contact dermatitis and mild skin irritation, so users with sensitive skin may want to test this product on a small area of skin before using it.

The Bottom Line

Biofirm Lift is one of many products produced by the Biothirm labs, When we look at the ingredient list for this product, we see a lot of ingredients commonly associated with some of the big brand drug store skin creams. While we are certainly intrigued by the company’s proprietary Vitreoscilla Ferment, we would like to see a lot more about it on their official website. Specifically, we would like to know how Vitreoscilla Ferment’s inclusion in Biofirm Lift cream will work to combat wrinkles.
