The range of anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products by Biotica is produced by Biotica Cosmetic Laboratories in California. There are three main products in the anti aging skincare range. They are the Biotica Wrinkle Reducing Day Cream, the Biotica Wrinkle Reducing Night Cream, and the Biotica Wrinkle Reducing Serum. The manufacturers say that the wrinkle reducing day cream is built around an extract from the Thermo thermophilus deep sea micro organism. They say it is a potent antioxidant that helps repair skin cells that have been damaged by ultra violet radiation. They say that the lipo peptides in the skin stimulate the production of healthy new skin. The Wrinkle Reducing Night Cream is, according to the manufacturers, a proprietary blend of marine algae, and plant protein rich in glutamine and glutamic acid that gives an immediate lifting and tightening effect.

The Wrinkle Reducing Serum is designed to gradually close larger wrinkles using derivatives of Vitamin E, C and B. They say that the nourishing and skin healing properties of a high grade aloe vera extract further enhance this effect.

The three products in Biotaca’s anti-wrinkle range are designed to be used together for maximum effect. The ingredients in the Wrinkle Reducing Day Cream include Deionised Water, Wax, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Polysorbate-20, Thermus Thermophilus, Behentrimonium, Methosulphate and Cetearyl Alcohol, Di-ppg- myreth-10 adipate, Edta, Methyl Paraben and Propyl Paraben. The Wrinkle Reducing day Cream can be purchased on line for $24.95, the Wrinkle Reducing Night Cream is also sold at $24.95 and the Wrinkle Reducing Serum retails for the price of $29.95.

Biotica’s range of anti wrinkle products does contain parabens and there has been some concern about the use of parabens in cosmetics following a report published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology in 2004.This study found parabens in human breast tumors which were tested. However, there have been no conclusive findings regarding parabens and cancer, yet some manufacturers now err on the side of caution and have taken parabens out of their skincare products. This type of synthetic preservative has also been linked to skin irritation in some users.
