On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewThe Calstrum line of skin care comes to us from the Seriesse International Company that was founded by Jennifer Flavin-Stallone. The Calstrum products are just one of many lines that are offered by the Seriesse company, with a variety of formulas for makeup and skin care that are designed to meet a wide range of needs. The Calstrum skin care line is created for women over 55, and are made with ultra luxurious ingredients to "help support and revive vulnerable and delicate skin", according to the company website. Most of these individual Calstrum products claimed to improve the overall appearance of aging skin, but only the eye crème promised to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles around this area. The Calstrum line includes a cleanser, serum, crème, eye crème and an oral supplement. You can also purchase a set of the Calstrum cleanser, crème and eye crème at a discounted price. The prices overall were fairly reasonable, with a complete set running under $100. We found the products for sale through the company website, independent distributors and the Home Shopping Network. No other online retailers were found. The website did not provide information about any type of money back guarantee, nor were Calstrum testimonials available at the time of this review. Product DetailsWhile these products are marketed to women who are over 55, they do not make the same claims as many anti-wrinkle creams and serums. The crème promises to “optimize skin's elasticity” and restore a younger look. The only ingredient we found in this formula that is clinically proven in the fight against aging is soluble collagen. It is not listed as a primary ingredient, however; which leads us to wonder if there is enough of the substance within the formula to really make a difference. The Calstrum eye crème does claim to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and also contains soluble collagen in the ingredient list. However, other proven wrinkle treatments like matrixyl 3000 and argireline are absent from the listing. Calcium gluconate is the primary ingredient listed on most of the Calstrum line, which is said to strengthen fragile skin that thins as it ages and improve the skin's support structure. While we found plenty of evidence to support the idea of calcium supplements in strengthening the body as it ages, we could not find much on topical calcium as an effective anti-aging ingredient. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineWhile the Calstrum skin care line does provide soluble collagen in its formulas, other important anti-aging substances are conspicuously absent from the list. For the price, you may get a bigger bang for your skin care buck elsewhere. However, if you find that your under-eye area is a particular problem, you may wish to investigate the Calstrum eye cream a bit further.
