Overview
The Carita products originate in France and are currently sold through salons and distributors worldwide. Although the company does not encourage sales through online retail stores, we did find the products available through a number of these sources as well. The Carita Perfect Cream is marketed by the company as an anti-aging product that "restores the balance of mature skin by taking a comprehensive approach to the effects of all the different aging factors; environmental, chronological and hormonal". The cream claims to detoxify, firm and revitalize the skin as it "favors wrinkle reduction". It is recommended for use morning and night, and can be used on both the face and throat. While it says it should be applied to clean skin, it is not clear if this product can be used in combination with other skin care formulas.
The Carita Perfect Cream is a pricy product that runs about $420 at the time of this review. For this price, most women will want to ensure that the product can deliver what it promises. Unfortunately, we could not find any type of money back guarantee listed on the company website for this product, which increases the risk involved with making a large expenditure without knowing whether the product will be true to its word. Instead, we must rely on Carita Perfect Cream’s ingredient list, clinical research and client testimonials to determine whether this cream is worth the high price tag.
Product Details
We were unable to find a complete ingredient list for the Carita Perfect Cream on the company website or through online retailers. The only substances listed for this product include oleo-gen cellular, soya bio-sterols and liposomes VTA. We were unable to find any information about the oleo-gen cellular ingredient, other than that it may help to combat the effects of free radicals in our environment that can cause the aging of our skin. Bio-sterols are primarily used for moisturizing and hydrating the skin.
There are no clinically proven anti-aging ingredients listed for this product, such as soluble collagen, hyaluronic acid or argireline. Without any of these essential anti-aging substances, we are led to wonder how this cream will support its claims of favoring wrinkle reduction. At a price like that, Carita Perfect Cream is under a lot of pressure to deliver. Based on the ingredients listed, it appears to be more of a moisturizer than an anti-aging product. While moisturizing the skin is essential to keeping it smoother and more supple, this process alone is not effective at turning back the clock on your complexion.
The Good
- The product has a strong online presence and is sold through high quality salons.
The Bad
- The Carita Perfect Cream is extremely expensive.
- The product is not sold through the company website.
- There are none of the proven anti-aging ingredients in the formula that are included in the more effective wrinkle fighters currently available.
The Bottom Line
While the Carita Perfect Cream markets itself as an anti-aging product, we could find nothing in the manufacturer’s product descriptions to support this claim. With an extremely high price tag and no customer testimonials to back it up, we recommend more reasonably priced products that offer greater oomph for less money.
