Cellnique is a company in Malaysia that provides skin and body care products. According to the company website, Cellnique is "devoted to the revolution of result-oriented yet personalized beauty solutions aimed at absolute beauty". The company offers cleansers and toners, moisturizers, acne treatments, post peel care and anti-aging products. The products are sold through the company website, in Malaysian currency. However, there is an option to purchase products with US dollars as well. We were unable to find other online retailers who offered these products, but we did locate them on a few resale and auction websites.

The Cellnique website had a number of pages that did not work and it provides very little information about the brand or the products they sell. This is concerning, particularly in light of the fact that the products are very expensive. The anti-aging line includes a Firming Serum, Ceutox Biological Serum, Ceutox Biological Cream and an Advanced Treatment Cream. For the sake of this review, we will look at the Ceutox Biological Serum, which claims to improve skin smoothness and sells for $228 at the time of this review.

Product Details

Cellnique does not appear to provide complete ingredient lists for any of its products. This concerns us for two reasons. First, it is difficult to know whether the formula contains the necessary active ingredients to deliver on its promises. Second, those with allergies to certain substances cannot know if a particular product might be a problem for them. With an outrageously high price tag and a limited return policy, the lack of information about the product creates a huge risk for the consumer.

The one ingredient that is listed for the Cellnique Ceutox Biological Serum is palymitoyl pentapeptide-3. This substance, also known as matrixyl, is one of the few proven anti-wrinkle agents on the market today. This substance has been shown to stimulate the production of both collagen and elastin in the skin, two components that tend to be lost as our skin ages. However, without knowing what else is in the formula, we cannot know for sure whether the matrixyl stands alone as the only effective anti-aging ingredient in the mix, or if there are other substances that might increase the effectiveness of the matrixyl. This leaves us wondering just how effective the Cellnique Ceutox Biological Serum really is.
