Overview
The manufacturing philosophy behind Cosmolara’s products seems to be to combine long-standing natural remedies with modern medical breakthroughs. These modern elements are referred to as “centerpiece ingredients.” Cosmolara also incorporates the growing field of homeopathy into many of their formulas. The typical Cosmolara product is meant to be used regularly in order to see long-term skin benefits, and many of these products were formulated to work together with eachother.
The full line of Cosmolara skin care products includes: Firm and Repair Lift Cream, Red Earth Acne Cream, Miracle Mutti, Eye Glow Cream, End Fatigue Cosmotoner, Intensive Anti-Aging Cream, Cosmocleanser, Intesnive Anti-Aging Moisture Serum, Pearl Illuminating Skin Brightening Cream, Hair Strengthening Shampoo, Scalp Therapy for Thinning Hair, Hair, Skin and Nails Vitamin and something called a Magic Cloth. For the purposes of this site, we will be focusing on Cosmolara’s anti-aging products. However, it is suggested that users construct a skin care regimen using two or more products for best overall results.
Product Details
The Cosmolara Firm and Repair Lift Cream is designed to actively reconstruct the skin, ultimately filling in wrinkles with new skin. The manufacturer claims that this cream can reduce the depth of existing wrinkles by 1/3rd. The product also claims to increase collagen while helping to hyrdrate dry skin. Finally, Cosmolara Firm and Repair Lift Cream claims to be able to speed up your body’s natural removal of dead skin cells, resulting in fresher, younger looking skin.
Active ingredients found in Cosmolara Firm and Repair Lift Cream are: Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Ceramide 6, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Tocotrienols, Tocopherols, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Propylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Malachite Extract, Calcarea Carbonica, Graphites, Butylene Glycol, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract, Glycolic Acid.
It is unclear whether this is a full ingredient list, or only a listing of active ingredients found in Cosmolara Firm and Repair Lift Cream.
As per Cosmolara’s philosophy, we do see an interesting blending of synthetic and natural ingredients in this product. The official website also helpfully breaks down the properties of each ingredient or group of ingredients, making for some interesting reading. For example, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 is a biopeptide that is claimed to relax facial muscles while Glyceryl Polymethacrylate aids in the body’s collagen synthesis.
The Good
- Official website does a good job of breaking down active ingredients.
- Products also come in recommended “care kits” that pair different items together for a ready-made product regimen.
- Manufacturer’s approach of combining natural and synthetic ingredients is intriguing.
The Bad
- Unclear if full product ingredient list is given, or only active ingredient list.
- No pricing is given on official website.
- Products do not seem to be available online from official website, nor are retailers suggested. Instead, products must be ordered over the phone or by fax.
- While adequate info is given on individual ingredients, little information is given on the development or testing of the actual products.
The Bottom Line
We were quite interested when we began looking into Cosmolara’s line of skin care products. There “old and new” approach sounded interesting. Which is why we were ultimately frustrated by the amount of information given about these products. Cosmolara is incredibly forthcoming when it comes to individual ingredients and there effects, but vague when it comes to providing the details about actual products that we really want to know.
