Overview
Crème de la Mer has a long line of cosmetic and beauty products including eye cleansers, moisturizers, make up, shades, creams and anti-aging lotions. The origin of Crème de la Mer products is based on a magic broth created from a rare sea kelp from California.
The Eye concentrate from Crème De La Mer is a high end product that is supposed to bring out the best in your skin. Daily treatment with this cream can provide nourishment, hydrate the skin and reduce all signs of aging. At the end of the day, you will have fresh looking eyes with no lines, wrinkles or dark circles. It is claimed that when the crème is applied to the skin, it immediately activates the ingredients. This results in a soothing feeling and, with time, the skin will be healed of all blemishes and make you look young. Crème de la Mer is also said to be a decent moisturizer. This Ultra Supreme Cream is said to be the ultimate in skin care.
Product Details
The ingredients in Crème de la Mer are not outstanding. The website does have a video on how the Miracle Broth is developed but the exact ingredients are not revealed. Some of the basic ingredients include: sea kelp, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, lecithin, Vitamins C, E and B12, plus oils of citrus, eucalyptus, wheat germ, alfalfa and sunflower.
It is claimed that the way the sea kelp is processed is more important than the ingredients. The Miracle Broth transforms the skin making it look younger, smoother and fresher looking.

The Bottom Line
The website is very well presented; the site does show exotic cosmetic products which even look expensive to buy. There are a lot of claims made about the Crème de la Mer Eye products, but the ingredients do not appear to be anything special. The miracle broth made from a rare sea kelp appears to be the key, but the product does not contain any Hyaluronate or any other peptide anti aging products. The magical broth ingredients are all a mystery. There are no testimonials nor is there any evidence from clinical trials. Since the product is very expensive, why not let the consumer know what is inside it? At $130 an ounce, I personally think consumers have the right to know what they are applying on their sensitive eye area when using Crème de la Mer Eye products. Over the years there have been many cosmetic products made from sea weed and sea kelps and most of them have failed to live up to expectations. At least until there is some evidence on effectiveness of the product, consumers should think twice about spending this much money on any product.
