DDF Wrinkle Relax Review

Updated On:

Overview

DDF Wrinkle Relax comes from Doctor's Dermatologic Formula, a company founded in 1991 by New York dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Howard Sobel. In addition to a number of anti-aging products, the company also specializes in acne treatments and products for sensitive skin. The product is sold on the company website, as well as through online retailers and high-end cosmetic stores like Sephora. DDF Wrinkle Relax comes with a hefty price tag; $82 for .5 ounces as of the date of this review. We were unable to find customer testimonials on the website, and while there was a return policy for DDF products, it was unclear whether this policy applied to products that had been opened.

DDF Wrinkle Relax claims to be able to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, including the crow's feet that appear at the corner of the eyes. The company website promises visible results in as little as four weeks. Other online retailers, like Sephora, state that you can see results in just two weeks. This transformation is apparently completed through a plumping hydration process that "penetrates the skin's outer surface".

Product Details

There is a complete ingredient list found on the company website, which we find to be invaluable to all consumers, but especially those who have allergies to certain substances or who have extremely sensitive skin that is prone to irritation. After perusing the ingredient listings, we found two substances of particular interest in the anti-aging process; acetyl hexapeptide-8 and sodium hyaluronate. Acetyl hexapeptide-8 is known by its commercial name argireline, and this substance is well known for its ability to relax facial muscles that can contribute to the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Sodium hyaluronate, also known as hyaluronic acid, is an important skin hydrator that can also diminish lines on the skin.

In addition, DDF Wrinkle Relax contains Shea butter, which is an effective moisturizer and helpful in preserving skin's youthfulness. Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a form of vitamin C, that has been proven to play a part in the formation of collagen. In combination, these ingredients may indeed be effective in bringing a more youthful appearance to the skin and diminishing the look of lines and wrinkles – even those pesky crow's feet that many women would love to bid farewell to.

The Good

  • The product contains known anti-aging ingredients, like argireline and hyaluronic acid.
  • Additional ingredients like Shea butter and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate can also contribute to the effectiveness of this product.

The Bad

  • DDF Wrinkle Relax is a pricey proposition for many consumers.
  • We could not find customer testimonials on this product.
  • The return policy is sketchy and does not clarify whether open containers can be returned for a full refund.

The Bottom Line

With numerous ingredients that can be effective in the war against aging, this product may indeed be equipped to deliver what it promises. However, the high price and dubious return policy may be enough to keep some consumers looking elsewhere for the best anti-aging product for them.
