The system starts with skin cleansing. The breathable cleanser is sulfate-free and is intended to remove makeup, dirt, and oil.

Following up the cleansing step is the "breathable toner." With algae and mushroom extracts, this toner is alcohol-free. Follow steps 1 and 2 with the daily moisturizer. The moisturizer is also the same gel based formula as the foundation and has an SPF 15 for sun protection.

• The wide range of Dermacia products makes us question if they have put a full course of research and development into each item, or if this company may have spread themselves a bit too thin.
• We would like to see an more comprehensive list of ingredients for all products in order to verity this line's "all natural" claims.

The Bottom Line

Any woman with problems such as rosacea, acne, and uneven skin tone may benefit from using this system. However, if you're looking for a real anti-aging solution, you may be able to find one with more proven, proprietary active ingredients. Also, this is a highly intensive regimen, requiring multiple products and different application procedures. While their all-natural philosophy is admirable and probably effective, it is doubtful that it will render any miracles. Instead, look for a product that has a heavily researched and verifiable patented formulation. If you'd rather keep your skin care ritual simple, Dermacia is probably not the line for you.
