On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewDermaglow® is the name of a line of skin care products manufactured by VitalScience Corp.®, a Canadian cosmeceutical company founded by pharmacist Calvin Davies. According to the VitalScience Corp.® website, Dermaglow products constitute 3 of the top 10 best selling skincare products, and as such, VitalScience Corp.® is the fastest-growing cosmeceutical company in Canada. Most well known of the Dermaglow® line is the range of Nuvectin products, which are peptide-containing creams, serums, and other therapeutic treatments that claim to “significantly reduce the signs of aging.” Like many of the recent entrants to the anti-wrinkle business, Dermaglow® is marketed as a safe alternative to toxic injections and other forms of invasive cosmetic surgery. Product DetailsDermaglow offers products in six ranges: Nuvectin, which is a collection of standalone anti-wrinkle products, Nuvage, which is a therapy system of products intended to be used together, SensitiveRx which, as the name suggests, are products designed to be mild and gentle, RadianceRx, which are products based on microdermabrasion, Miracle, which are spa-derived exfoliators, and Lift & Firm, which are products that compete with other non-invasive Botox alternative products. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineWhile Dermaglow® products claim to treat an outstanding range of skin conditions, and even offer the “amazing side benefits” of aiding in the care of diabetes and boosting the body’s immune system, there is no concrete evidence available to support these claims. The lack of availability of the product in the US suggests that this relative latecomer to the skincare market may not yet be ready for consumption by demanding clientele. The lack of active ingredients that are widely thought to be effective is a further drawback. Although Dermaglow’s RadianceRx products are some of the only products currently on the market that offer an at-home, no-dermatologist-required means of microdermabrasion, there are few reviews that can be found. The lack of an inexpensive Starter Pack or other trial packs, combined with a return policy that does not allow the user to return any products that have been opened, or sampled, suggests that the user may wish to look elsewhere for more inviting alternatives.
