Overview
Dermajetics is a line of products created by the popular company Herbalife. Herbalife is well known on the Internet for its all-natural weight loss products as well as for its energy boosters, but the Dermajetics line was its signature anti-aging entry. Herbalife has been around since 1980 and the line became internationally distributed in 1982.
Dermajetics was created to help boost collagen production, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, and hydrate the skin all at once. Recently, Herbalife dropped the Dermajetics name and it is instead listed as Skin Activator. Some products available are the Skin Activator Day Lotion, Skin Activator Eye Cream, Skin Activator Nighttime Replenishing Cream, and a couple more products in the same line. The main active ingredient in this line is a Glucosamine Complex that is supposed to help firm and hydrate the skin.
Product Details
Out of the five products available under the old Dermajetics brand, the Skin Activator Decolletage Cream seems to be a good product to base the rest on. The Decolletage Cream is marketed for both men and women and claims to minimize the appearance of wrinkles in your throat and neck area as well as your face. This product also claims to improve the smoothness of your skin while helping to increase the body’s natural collagen production.
The complete ingredients for most Dermajetics products are not listed on the official website but a Google search will turn up a .PDF file that you can look over. This product contains many all-natural ingredients but the full list is extremely long. The other four products all seem to contain pretty similar ingredients. The official website is very well laid out but the product descriptions are fairly short. It's hard to get a good feel for the products with such a small description. We wish all of the ingredients were listed but instead you will have to dig for them on the Internet. You can't actually order products from the official website and will have to rely on third party distributors instead.
The Good
- You can buy these products in money saving sets.
- The official website has a “Distributor Locator” so you can find a place to purchase the products easily.
The Bad
- The Dermajetics line didn't contain any well known and powerful anti-aging ingredients and neither does the Skin Activator line.
- The ingredients are not listed on the official website.
- We can't find a refund policy so we assume it's up to the third party retailers to set their own policies.
The Bottom Line
The Skin Activator line that replaced Dermajetics doesn't really seem impressive. There aren't any top of the line anti-aging ingredients, no testimonials, and very little information about the actual products. Herbalife mainly relies on third party retailers to sell their products for commission, which is a nice business move but makes us skeptical about whether this company actually wants to help people with their skin or just wants a quick buck. We recommend finding a skin care treatment that is a little more popular and that contains better ingredients.
