Dermaxin Review

Updated On:

Overview

Like many wrinkle fighters on the market today, Dermaxin promises all of the benefits of doctor-administered treatments like Botox without the discomfort and expense of a doctor’s visit. Sounds like a dream come true, but can Dermaxin deliver? Like several other products we’ve looked at, Dermaxin appears to be part of the “new guard” of wrinkle treatments that make use of cutting edge lab advances to attempt to achieve results. While we found several online vendors that carry Dermaxin and even offer bulk order discounts, we were unable to determine the product’s actual manufacturer, which always gives us pause.

Dermaxin offers a two-pronged approach to attacking wrinkles. First, it claims to alter the body’s metabolism, allowing for a higher rate of collagen synthesis. As many skin care fanatics know, collagen is a substance naturally produced by the body that causes skin to look plump and lush. As we age, the body’s collagen production naturally slows down. Secondly, this product promises to “relax” facial muscles. The theory here is that, like Botox, muscles that contract less will form fewer fine lines, especially in trouble areas such as the eyes, forehead and mouth.

Product Details

Dermaxin promises users all kinds of miracles; according to the official product website, this small bottle of serum will hydrate the skin, restore even coloration, stimulate the production of new skin cells, and clear problem areas of fine lines. Furthermore, this is all claimed to occur within the first 10 minutes of use! The product directions instruct users to cleanse the skin as usual, then massage the cream into “problem” areas, starting with the forehead and working down to the cheeks.

The full ingredient list for Dermaxin is as follows: Aqua (Water), Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 (SYN-COLL), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Isopropyl Myristate, Squalane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Dimethicone, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Galactoarabinan, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Dimethyl Sulfone, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Bisabolol, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Xanthan Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Liposome Encapsulated), Retinyl Palmitate (Liposome Encapsulated), Tocopheryl Acetate (Liposome Encapsulated), Phospholipids (Liposome Encapsulated), Sodium PCA, Betaine, Sorbitol, Glycine, Alanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Arginine, Lysine, Glutamic Acid , Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone PEG -7 Phosphate, Carbomer, Rosa Canina (Rose Hip) Fruit Extract, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Panthenol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Parfum (Fragrance).

So how about Dermaxin’s active ingredients? The product is known to contain several proven wrinkle fighters, including the popular collagen-stimulating peptide Matryxil 3000 and the potent antioxidant Retinol. Dermaxin also contains the known moisturizer Hyaluronic Acid and a patented form of collagen listed as SYN-COLL, about which little information is given. Dermaxin retails directly from the manufacturer for $89.49 for one 2 oz. tube.

The Good

  • The product can be ordered directly online.
  • There is a bulk discount for ordering 3 tubes.
  • Product contains the known collagen booster Matryxil 3000.

The Bad

  • Little information was available regarding the actual product manufacturer.
  • Little is known about the featured active ingredient SYN-COLL.
  • Some products containing the harsh antioxidant Retinol have been shown to irritate sensitive skin.
  • No free trial sample of Dermaxin is available for first-time uses.

The Bottom Line

Dermaxin definitely looks to be in the upper tier of wrinkle fighters. We appreciate their inclusion of several of the leading scientific innovations in the field. However, once we get to this level, we would like to see some more manufacturer support too. A manufacturer name would be a good start. While the price is not unreasonable for what’s offered, we’ve found other anti-aging treatments that include equally potent ingredients but that also come with a free trial sample and really solid customer support.
