Overview
Donell Products manufactures an extensive line of skin care products including moisturizers, cleansers and anti-aging creams and serums. Donell markets several products for anti-aging and wrinkle reduction. In fact, there are so many products from this manufacturer that it may be difficult for consumers to figure out the one that is right for their skin.
Although an official Donell website was not found, the products are widely available at online retailers. Because the products cannot be purchased from the company website, there is no manufacturer refund policy nor do there appear to be product samples or trial sizes available from any of the online retailers visited. Full ingredient lists are available on the online retailers’ sites so that those with sensitive skin and allergies can determine if the products are right for them.
Product Details
Many of the Donell products contain AHA or alpha hydroxy acid. AHA is a natural acid found in fruits that can help brighten and tone skin. However, AHA is also known for its side effects. It can make sensitive skin itchy and flaky, and can also cause photosensitivity of the skin when exposed to direct sunlight.
One of Donell’s products that is marketed as anti-wrinkle is the A+Q10 Cream. According to the retailers’ sites, this product reduced wrinkles, repaired photodamage, and helped to prevent further skin aging. The two main active ingredients are Vitamin A and co-enzyme Q10. The Vitamin A comes from retinyl palmitate, which is an animal source of Vitamin A, so this product is not appropriate for vegans. There are lots of clinical studies showing the benefits of Vitamin A when taken internally but there is not a lot of information on its effectiveness on skin when applied topically. Co-enzyme Q10 is an interesting ingredient that has shown much promise in firming the skin. However, without knowing how much Q10 there is in the product, it is difficult to evaluate its effectiveness.
Many of the Donell Products line contain parabens, such as methylparaben and propylparaben. Parabens are cosmetic preservatives that are also known allergens. Many of the higher-quality skin care products exclude these ingredients. Those who have skin allergies or sensitivities should avoid these products until they have read the full ingredient list to see if a particular product is OK for them.

The Bottom Line
In digging through the maze of Donell Products skin care formulations, there are a few products that are worth a second look. However, it is extremely difficult to recommend a line of products when the manufacturer does not stand behind them with a money-back guarantee. Some of the ingredients may be helpful in rejuvenating skin, but none of the products appear to contain clinically-proven anti-wrinkle ingredients such as Argiriline and Matrixyl 3000. Keep in mind that if you purchase these products and are not happy with them, you might not be able to get your money back.
