Overview
Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap was created by E. H. Bronner in 1948. Dr. Bronner was a third generation soap-maker and was claimed to be the nephew of Albert Einstein. After being released from a mental institution for depression, he invented an “all natural castile soap”. He started making the soap by hand from his home. His business began as a small idea, but eventually exploded into the natural product line around 1960. The soap is all natural and is intended for multiple purposes. He placed a saying on each bottle that read “The moral ABC, to Unite all Mankind Free!” Dr. Bronner believed that he could save the world one bottle at a time. The Dr. Bonner Magic Soaps are Certified Fair trade, which basically means that they give their employees great salaries and insurance packages to ensure that the customers who purchase the products are given a fair price. Dr. Bronner passed away in 1997, yet his product line, with its several claimed purposes, is continued by his family.
Product Details
The soap that E.H. Bronner invented and marketed as Dr. Bonner’s Magic Soap was claimed to be revolutionary. No other all natural castile soap had been invented at that time so, once it had reached the market, the sales were high. Several reasons for the increased sales were that the soap was made of liquid, it was all natural and contained no chemicals, as well as came in a wide variety of fragrances. Some of the fragrances include almond, peppermint and natural. The soaps do not contain detergents, perfumes, or synthetics and they are also 100% biodegradable. Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps can be used to shave, shampoo, brush teeth, used as baby wipes, clean hands & feet, or clean carpets & rugs. Dr Bronner’s Magic Soap product line includes castile soap, detergents and bar soap. The soap is also claimed to help smooth and soothe your skin, however, it may not be the best option for actually diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
