On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewLaboratoire Dr. Renaud is a French line of skin care and cosmetic products. Dr. Renaud provides several separate skin care lines, one of which deals specifically with wrinkles and aging skin. The company was founded after World War II in 1947, when Dr. Louis Renaud started a beauty school devoted to product research. Gradually, the school became focused on developing new products with the aid of their substantial research facilities. Today, Dr. Renaud is internationally renown for their beauty products, although the product’s retail availability outside of France can be tricky. Unfortunately, Dr. Renaud’s official website appears to be under construction, making it difficult to find information on some products. Additionally, many sections of the official Laboratoire Dr. Renaud site are not currently in English. When Dr. Louis Renaud founded his beauty school, his main focus was on collagen. Today, many study results will back him up, but at the time this was an outlandish idea in skin care technique. The developers also focus on using natural herbal extracts, and they attempt to incorporate Vitamin C into many of the products that they offer. Product DetailsThe company’s signature anti-aging product is Dr. Renaud’s Starlift Cream. This is a peptide-based skin treatment that attempts to change the composition of your skin, resulting in a “revitalized” appearance. This product also gives you a heavy dose of moisturizers. Key active ingredients found in Dr. Renaud’s Starlift Cream are: Brown Seaweed, Matrixyl, Marine elastin, Olive extract, Royal Jelly, Marine Collagen, Fucogel 1000, Iris Iso (phyto-hormones), Salvia extract (rich in phyto-hormones), Yam extract, Macadamia oil, Jojoba oil, Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E derivative. Unfortunately, we could not find full information on the Dr. Renaud Starlift Cream’s formulation. This means users with sensitive skin will want to perform a preliminary skin test to see if they might be susceptible to an allergic reaction. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineThere just isn’t enough info about Dr. Reanud products for us to heartily recommend their anti-aging products. It seems that, as of right now, the company’s official website is in shift, making it difficult for us to determine a lot of product details. Additionally, the French/English language barrier could definitely be a problem for potential purchasers looking to learn more about Dr. Renaud’s product lines. While these products are available from a number of on-line retailers, the official web presence for Dr. Renaud does not appear to currently be selling the products (this could be because the site is still heavily in development.) With all that in mind, we’d probably go with an anti-wrinkle product backed up by a more stable manufacturer with a stronger presence in the US.
