On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewAt first glance, the Edom Dead Sea line of skin care products would seem to offer a pretty novel new approach to skin care. The Dead Sea itself is famous for the high concentration of salt and minerals found in its waters, which have long been touted for their therapeutic healing powers. Hoping to capitalize on this reputation, Edom Dead Sea have manufactured a line of skin care products that claim to make use of these minerals for their primary active ingredient. It is unclear where Edom Dead Sea products are manufactured, but it seems that they are primarily imported by Import & Wholesale EDOM, a Canadian-based import company. The official product website is in English, French and Russian, implying that the product does have an international clientele. The three primary product divisions from Edom are hair products, body product and facial products. Additionally, they offer pre-selected gift packages. The signature product from Edom Dead Sea is there Mineral Anti Wrinkle Cream Q-10. This product claims to use a combination of vitamins to improve skin firmness. It also claims to act as an adequate UV ray blocker, thus preventing further damage from harmful free radicals. Product DetailsUnfortunately, a full ingredient list for Edom Dead Sea Mineral Anti Wrinkle Cream Q-10 does not seem to be available from the official product web site. We are told that it makes use of the coenzyme Q-10, as well as Vitamin A and Vitamin E. Presumably, the product also contains a healthy dose of Dead Sea salt. Not surprisingly given all of the product claims, Edom Dead Sea makes many miracle claims for said sea salt. For example, it is claimed that salt harvested from the dead sea has ten time the mineral content of standard sea salt. The company uses this salt to absorb essential oils that are then released directly into the skin when their products are used. Minerals that are claimed to be found in Dead Sea salt are: Chlorine, Iodine, Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium and Bromine. All of these minerals are claimed to benefit the skin directly. To achieve ideal results, the Edom Dead Sea Mineral Anti Wrinkle Cream Q-10 is intended to be used in conjunction with the other Edom Dead Sea products; a Night Cream and an Eye Cream. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineWe agree that having a product containing salt from the Dead Sea is pretty cool. Unfortunately, Edom Dead Sea has not done the best job of supporting this product. It cold be a “lost in translation” thing, but a lot of product info is very vague. No ingredients are given and no guarantees are offered. Big claims are made on behalf of Edom Dead Sea’s exotic active ingredient, but we’d like to see these claims backed up.
