Elastology Review

Updated On:

Overview

Elastology is a series of skin care products developed by the manufacturer Clientele that are specifically marketed as anti-aging and wrinkle reducing. The Elastology products can be purchased individually or in kits of various combinations. The line includes cleansers, scrubs, moisturizers, serums and a grouping of products called Age Erasers. Some of the products, such as the LineX Peptide Expression Cream, claim to reduce wrinkles in minutes with a single application. Others, such as the Line Correcting Roll On, use light deflectors to hide lines and wrinkles, similar to concealer makeup products.

The Elastology products do not have full ingredient lists on the company’s website which makes it difficult to determine if the products contain synthetic dyes, fragrances or other allergy-inducing ingredients. There is also no way to tell if the Elastology products contain lower-quality “fillers”. The Elastology website makes reference to clinical studies but does not provide enough information to be able to determine the scope or validity of the studies. All of the products can be purchased from the Elastology website. There is no apparent indication of a product guarantee nor are product samples shown as being available.

Product Details

The Elastology website is very short on product ingredient detail. Some products refer to the inclusion of peptides, but not which ones. Certain peptides, such as Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline, have been clinically proven effective in collagen renewal and wrinkle reduction. However, there is no further information on the Elastology site to determine what types of peptides are being used. Some products refer to patented ingredients such as Quicklift Complex. Again there is no further information to be able to assess what might be in this.

Without a full ingredient list, those with skin sensitivities and allergies may want to exercise caution with these products until you are certain about how they will react with your particular skin type.

The Good

  • Some products contain peptides.
  • Can be purchased directly from the manufacturer.

The Bad

  • No full ingredient list available.
  • Not enough information to assess the effectiveness of the active ingredients.
  • No money-back guarantee or product samples offered.
  • Not labeled as non-allergenic.

The Bottom Line

We find it very difficult to recommend any skin care product that does not fully disclose its ingredient list. With the Elastology products, it is even difficult to determine what the active ingredients are and how effective they might be. High-quality skin care manufacturers will provide plenty of information on ingredients, clinical studies, testimonials, and company return policies. The best anti-wrinkle products on the market contain peptides like Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline that are backed by scientific testing. There is no indication that these are present in the Elastology formulations. Compare other anti-wrinkle products to Elastology before making a purchase decision. Keep in mind that if you do buy the Elastology products and are unhappy with them, you may be stuck with them.
