Embryolisse Review

Updated On:

Overview

Embryolisse products have been around since the 1950’s. They were developed by a physician to work with the skin’s natural defenses. According to the website, Embryolisse products help to restore skin tone and elasticity while protecting the skin’s natural barrier. Embryolisse offers four main product lines of skin care: The Essentials, Anti-Aging Solutions, Cleansers & Toners, and Moisturizers.

Embryolisse products are not available for purchase on the manufacturer’s website but are offered through select retail stores in the United States and Canada and through several online retailers. There is no indication on the Embryolisse website of a satisfaction guarantee offered. Nor do product samples or trial sizes appear to be available. However, these might be offered through the retailers. There are four products in the Embryolisse Anti-Aging Solutions line: Anti-Aging Cream, Rich Firming Cream, Intense Firming Milk for Body, and the Eye Contour Treatment. There is very little information provided about each product. The active ingredients in each are mentioned but no full ingredient list is provided. Also missing from the Embryolisse website is any mention of clinical studies supporting the effectiveness of the active ingredients or the products themselves.

Product Details

For the purposes of this review, we will have a closer look at the Embryolisse Anti-Aging Solutions line. The Embryolisse website provides very little in the way of specific information about each formulation. There are no ingredients mentioned for the Anti-Aging Cream. It claims to be a restructuring vitamin concentrate that produces effective firming action but doesn’t detail what the vitamins are that are included.

The Embryolisse Rich Firming Cream is definitely worth a more detailed look. It includes collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin, and Vitamins A, E, and F. Collagen is an ingredient often found in higher-quality anti-aging products. As we age, our ability to produce collagen slows and refreshing it helps the body produce more of its own. Hyaluronic acid has been proven to be very useful in deep skin hydration as it holds 1,000 times its own weight in water. The case for including vitamins in the formulation is less clear. There does not appear to be much evidence for the usefulness of Vitamin A or F applied topically. The jury on Vitamin E is still out and the Embryolisse website provides no further proof of the effectiveness of these inclusions.

There are no ingredients listed in the other two products in the line that set them apart from their competitors. What is unfortunate is that there is no full ingredient list, which makes it difficult for those with skin allergies and sensitivities to assess whether these products are suitable for their particular skin.

The Good

  • Rich Firming Cream includes proven active ingredients.
  • Products are specifically formulated for anti-aging.

The Bad

  • No full ingredient listing.
  • Not labeled as non-allergenic.
  • Active ingredients may not be effective in reversing signs of aging.
  • No money-back guarantee apparent.

The Bottom Line

With the thousands of options for anti-aging skin care products, it is difficult to choose the Embryolisse line when it does not disclose all of its ingredients on its website. When looking for an anti-wrinkle product, you may wish to look for ones that have collagen and peptides, like Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline, which have been clinically proven to be effective. The best skin care companies will stand behind their products with a money-back guarantee. Keep in mind that if you purchase the Embryolisse products and they do not satisfy you, you may not be able to get your money back.
