Product Details
Epionce cleansers are the first step in the five step process meant to remove skin impurities such as makeup and environmental irritants. The Milky Lotion Cleanser, made with marshmallow extract, is for dry and sensitive skin. The Gentle Foaming Cleanser is for normal or combination skin and the Lytic Gel Cleanser is for problem oily or acne-prone skin. The next step is to balance and prepare the skin for other Epionce treatment products. The Lytic Toner controls bacteria and fungal activity on the skin and is meant for oily or problem skin. The Re-Balancing Clarifier is used to balance the natural pH of the skin and can be used for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Step three is when the skin is treated. With Lite Lytic Lotion for dry or sensitive skin, Lytic Lotion for normal or combination skin, and Lytic Lotion Plus for “problem” skin. These treatment products claim to treat skin imperfections such as redness, bacteria, irritation, extrinsic aging, scarring, and even precancerous growths. The products in the fourth step, Renew & Fortify, are moisturizers that Epionce claims will deeply penetrate the skin and reverse visible signs of aging. Key ingredients include Essential Fatty Acid, Sterol and Ceramide Precursors, Date & Apple Fruit Complexes, Rosehip, Safflower, and Avocado Complexes, and potato-derived Peptide. The fifth step involves protection from the sun with the Active Shield Lotion with SPF 30+. One of the key ingredients is Zinc Oxide, which is proven to protect skin from the sun.
The Good
- Epionce products have a good presence on the web, with a separate page for each skin care product. The key ingredients of each product are listed. There is also a downloadable product sheet with a detailed ingredient list for every product.
- Epionce products are sold in dermatologists’ offices and have been developed by a practicing dermatologist who claims Epionce products have been proven effective by nationally recognized research organizations. The results of the clinical tests are available on the website.
The Bad
- Unless you go to a dermatologist that sells Epionce, it appears you cannot purchase the products and you cannot obtain pricing information from the website.
- Although there are good product reviews online about the effectiveness of cleansers and moisturizers, there were no reviews that say whether or not Epionce effectively minimizes the appearance of wrinkles.
- Many online reviews refer to Epionce products as being extremely pricey once you find a dermatologist to sell them to you.
- Epionce’s 5-step system could certainly become time consuming and expensive.
The Bottom Line
Epionce products have been developed by a practicing dermatologist and appear to have been tested extensively with the results listed publicly on the official Epionce website. Since Epionce products are only sold through qualified skin care professionals however, they are not as easily accessible as other anti-aging products which can deter customers from seeking them out.
