Fran Wilson is a new line of skin and beauty care products. Frank Wilson Skincare includes products formulated to treat the face, the under-eye area and the lips. Fran Wilson Skincare products are available online and also from boutique beauty product retailers. Fran Wilson Skincare’s main wrinkle fighting products include the Nourish My Eyes treatment for under-eye wrinkles, and several retinol based creams.

Unfortunately, little background is given for Fran Wilson Skincare. Most of their anti-aging products are marketed under the name Skincare L de L Cosmetics. Products in this line include a Retinol Night Cream, a Retinol Day Cream, Retinol Eye Gel, Retinol Anti-Wrinkle Facial Serum, Retinol Skin Brightener, Retinol Lip Conditioner and a Retinol Anti-Aging Hand Cream. Clearly, retinol is a key component in Fran Wilson Skincare products. While retinol does have proven skin health benefits, it may not be the most effective wrinkle treating ingredient available.

Product Details

All of the Fran Wilson Skincare anti-aging products feature retinol and are “vitamin enriched.” This is certainly a viable approach to fighting wrinkles, but we do not feel that it is the best approach. Retinol and topically applied vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin E can be helpful when it comes to protecting skin from free radical damage, but to eliminate existing wrinkles it’s also important to address the issue of collagen production, which Frank Wilson Skincare seems to fail to do. Unfortunately, we could not find a full ingredient list for any Fran Wilson Skincare products, but we did notice that one product, the Retinol Night Cream, features Chitosan as an active ingredient. This is a marine animal derivative, and may not be suitable for users who are allergic to collagen.

The Good

  • All Fran Wilson Skincare products are available online.
  • Much of the Fran Wilson Skincare line features retinol, which does have some proven skin benefits.

The Bad

  • Some users with sensitive skin may find prolonged use of retinol to be irritating.
  • Fran Wilson Skincare does not seem to address collagen production in any capacity.
  • Chitosan may not be a suitable ingredient for all users.
  • No free trial samples of Fran Wilson Skincare products seem to be available at this time.

The Bottom Line

Fran Wilson Skincare may put out a great line of skin nourishing cosmetic products, but we’re not sure that they would be our choice for wrinkle fighting skin care. We could find no Fran Wilson Skincare products that featured collagen boosting ingredients, and collagen is the key to getting younger, firmer looking skin. Products like the L de L Retinol Anti-Wrinkle Facial serum do include vitamins and antioxidants that can help with skin health, but we see no ingredients in this formula that will do anything to treat existing wrinkles. Also, Fran Wilson Skincare does not seem to offer a free trial sample of any products, which is always a nice opportunity for any consumer. With a free trial sample, you can see what you’re getting before spending big money.
