Hormeta products have been produced and shipped exclusively from Switzerland for over 50 years. All products have the Swiss Cos label, which guarantees that the product is authentically produced and shipped from Swizerland and not an imitation or bootleg product. The Hormeta website does not give us any background story about the company itself.

Product Details

There are several different lines of beauty care in the Hormeta line such as Dry to Normal, Oily and Acne Prone, Mature Skin, and Sensitive Skin. For purposes of this article we are going to focus on Hormeta’s Anti-Aging skin care line.

The products in the Hormeta Anti-Aging skin care line are as follows:

  • Beauty Cleansing Milk.
  • Skin Freshener Toner.
  • Peeling Scrub with Exfoliating Micro-beads.
  • Eye Contour Gel.
  • ARL Revitalizing Cream.
  • ARL Revitalizing Serum.
  • ARL Revitalizing Mask.

The active ingredients listed for the Beauty Cleansing Milk are: Corn germ oil, wheat germ oil, and ionized mineral solution.

The active ingredients for the ARL Revitalizing Cream are: Vitamins A, C, and E, English Ivy Extract, rutin derivative, ascorbyl palmitate, St. Johns Wort, Yarrow, and Chamomile.

The Good

  • The website boasts of vast research and development going into each product produced.
  • The products contain vitamins that have been proven effective for anti-aging care. Antioxidant properties associated with Vitamins A, C, and E are all well documented and researched.
  • There are several lines of skin care to suit the individual’s needs. Almost all skin care issues are addressed with each different line.

The Bad

  • The website does not have a full list of ingredients for any of the products. This can be problematic for anyone who is sensitive to certain ingredients or preservatives.
It will take further investigation to discover who develops these products and what their credentials are. The website discusses where the products are made, but there is no company story or information on who is behind the Hormeta formulations.
  • Purchasing any item from the ARL line of products can become expensive. Each of the three products lists well over $60 per item and it’s not a large supply. This can become pricey for the average consumer.
  • It’s recommended that users incorporate multiple Hormeta products into their beauty regimen, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
  • The products seemed to lack the “IT” factor. We found no patented, proven wrinkle fighter such as Matryxil 3000 or Argireline incorporated into any of the anti-wrinkle formulas.

The Bottom Line

Above all, Hormeta seems dedicated to quality and authenticity with their products. However, the company would do well to offer a full list of ingredients. People want to know what they are putting onto their skin and want to make sure it’s free from any potential hazards. Hormeta would also benefit from offering more information on the company itself. Consumers today are very interested in who is making their products, and this can influence a purchasing decision. While Hormeta offers us great information regarding their policies on animal testing, there is little else to go on. Having a doctor’s name or research laboratory to refer to can often make all the difference in choosing Hormeta’s product over the competitors. Overall, Hormeta looks like a more promising general skin health line than a dedicated wrinkle fighter.

My Sister and I flew out of the Las Vegas airport on July 3, 2012, as we were hurrying to catch a flight on of your representatives stopped us to get us to try out your product. The same of your representative is Luchiano.
We ended up buying the ARL STRESS CAPTURE and the EYE CONTOR GEL. From what I understand when I go on the Internet is that both these products are made for women close to 35 years of age. Your representative would not have had any problem realizing we were well past 35. As this was a definite lse statement plus your product does not do what it is supposed to do both my Sister and I would like our our money refunded. The cost of this transaction as $ 216.20 EACH. We really do feel like we have been given false information.
I am hoping you will take this eriously and if not we will go to the airport and tell them about your practices.
Hoping to hear from you soon. I will send our address after I hear from you.
    Sue Kutzschan.

I too purchased my Hormeta products at the McCarren airport in Las Vegas. The products are extremely expensive but are effective. They are strongly moisturizing and have greatly reduced clogged pours and fine lines on my face.

I had a similar experience on July 19, 2013. Rushing to catch a flight, I got “duped” into buying the big package without a lot of explanation. I was in a vulnerable moment, now I can’t get anyone to respond to my request for refund. How did yours turn out???

Sorry let me type that again with no errors…
My husband and I were in vegas walking through the Palazzo when a male Hormeta sales guy nabbed us with his chocolate.. we went in for his sales pitch, he looked at my husbands skin then asked me why I let my husband out in public the way his skin looks that.. saying he basically looks like shit and we should stop using crap on our face. We are well off and have been using Aveda products for years and we did tell your sales rep what we use and we love it because it works ..the out come .. My husbands skin looks fantastic he looks 35 for being 41 years young. The only product that seems to work is your Hormeta collagen tri-logic faciel cream. He told us to use it only twice a month but the box said use it up to twice a day. Please educate your sales reps more into your product line and their manners . We walked away not spending a dime because of his lack of respect for our feelings but when we arrived to canada we bought hormeta hormeta collagen tri-logics from anotger Hormeta sales rep.

The Hormeta skin care line sucks. The cost of this crap is not worth a penny + they do not have a money back guarantee like most skin care cosmetics

    Today, I tried the Hormeta
    product at Las Vegas Airport.
Young man asked why I don’t use
    eye cream, “Are you busy,
    lazy or just don’t care?”
    What awful attitude. I will
write corporate. Horrible disrespectful male sales person.

My products just arrived UPS and I have not opened the box. I need to know if the return address is the same for returns.
The salesman was charming but pushy. I liked the samples and results. He said I was getting a very special offer because it was 3:45 and he was closing at 4:00. I asked if I could order these on-line, and he said only this great and special price can be done through him at this time. Later, just as I was headed to the gate at the airport, he was out hustling more business! He lied to me and he hugged me repeatedly, and I was taken for a sucker-DUPED! I need to send this box back for a full refund minus the 2 items I carried out of the store and have been using.

Hey guys I had a similar experience at the Las Vegas Airport- but im happy the gentleman was a little more assertive. I am obsessed with these products !!! I have used la prairie, la mer, Sisley, cle de peau, perecon…you name it. nothing has given me this much hydration and lifting. The only thing that I was concerned about was that the gentleman said I can travel with all products. well when I came to the gate- they took away my cleansers and toners. I emailed Hormetas customer service and the lady I was working with was so helpful. She made sure to send me my cleansers and toners and a complimentary moisturizer for the inconvenience. Great product, Great customer service, but they can definitely work on their sales tactics

I have to also testofy that the Hormeta sales rep was extremely ride – he accused me of not washing my face because i have open pores and black head. I thought that was extremely insulting and condescending!!!!

I bought my products from shop in Bellagio. As with others, the woman made comments about how horrible my skin looked, made promises about how fabulous and exclusive their products are, told me the “promotions” would end at a certain time. I can’t believe I fell for it all. I guess I felt like a product line sold at an upscale hotel like Bellagio had to be legit. I was wrong! These people are disgusting and the products are terrible. She gave me a “sample” of the eye creams (meaning she put some on me there in the store). I swear they are sampling one thing and selling another. She also told me only to use the products a few times per week/month, the selling point being that the products would last for a year or more. She called the eye serum/cream duo “Botox in a bottle”. Haha. Maybe what she put on me in the store was that, but what she sold me was definitely not. Please do not waste your money on this garbage. My skin broke out terribly. No “Botox in a bottle” effect. I feel totally scammed. I will be visiting the shop again in a couple of weeks and returning my unused products. They won’t give me any money back I’m sure, but I don’t want this garbage taking up space in my bathroom any more.

On my last trip to Vegas, I was at the Bellagio and the girls at Bella Donna stopped me to give me a free makeover. I was here on a girls trip so me and my sisters got our make up done professionally to go to The Bank. I’m so glad we came in, our make up looked amazing and the girls were so nice! I picked up two of the eye products and also this great body oil. My sisters are jealous that they decided to wait. So far the products have been fabulous and I will be back in a few weeks to find more products for the face. I have a lot of allergies so it’s really difficult for me to find products that work with my skin, which is why I was scared to try a new line but I’m really glad that I did.

I was ambushed by a salesperson at the Vegas airport recently. I honestly don’t even know how it happened, but there was a chocolate in my hand and the next second I was in the chair and this pushy dude was slathering crap all over my face. I never fall for these situations, so I’m still confused how he did this — he’s that good! After getting the whole spiel about the products and how terrible I look, he told me the price. $350/bottle at the Bellagio, but because he liked me, $175/bottle. As if! I said, “OK, I have to get the credit card from my husband” and I left, never to return. When I told my husband what happened, he was incredulous that I was roped in by that guy. Stay away from people handing out chocolate in the D concourse!!!

the people in Vegas are so rude and unprofessional however; in Colorado the sales rep named Keyara was extremely nice and attentive to my needs. she did not force me into buying everything like the people in vegas and she simply said ‘I just enjoy showing the product and having company’ she was so kind and vary helpful. she explained every product and was not pushy or rude. I did not buy anything that day but I came back a week later with my husband and she remembered my name! in the end I purchased the collagen cream and since then my skin looks and feels amazing!!! Vegas needs more people like Keyara! so if your ever in Colorado at DIA airport and your looking for Hormeta products go to her!!

Wow! It seems these pushy people are all over Las Vegas. I had never heard of Hormeta before. I bought #7 Special Cream for Eyes and Eye Contour Rescue Gel. The girl was rather pushy and wanted me to buy the ‘whole package’ for a special deal, $2500 Value for only $1500. I thought she said the eye duo was $199 – when I rec’d my cc rec’pt that was each, plus tax – came to $432.00. I have been using it as instructed twice daily for almost 3 weeks now and have seen NO change. I paid way too much for these products, so I will use them until the tube and jar are empty. If I see results I may consider further purchases. BUT, I will not be subjected to anymore pushy sales clerks, now that I know when she said, you can not buy these products except through an authorized dealer in a salon, is not true. I will order online and believe me, check for best pricing.

I was at the airport killing time and got lured in also, however the difference on the right side of my face was undeniable. He asked me if i had 3 minutes and he put the “gold” line on half of my face. Suddenly i realized the time and had to rush out, ran past the bathroom and rinsed my face. He was pushy but i had to leave. Next morning the rivht side of my face remains considerably more taught than the left. Does anyone know where i can buy these products safely and without preassure?

My husband and I just returned from Vegas and had the same experiences as everyone else. We were “attacked” in the Palazzo. They all use the same tactics. You have to buy it NOW and basically you are passing up the best deal in the world. I also found the products for less on the internet. We spent $500.00 which I shouldn’t have. I just wanted to feel better after my cancer and not be lied to. My sweet husband wanted me to be happy and I spent 500.00 he needed to pay the bills. Jan. 2014
