However, there are ingredients in Hydrovitoin that concern us, especially when the company claims that the product is hypoallergenic. EDTA is a stabilizer sometimes used in creams and ointments. EDTA is also a known allergen and many people do react to it by breaking out into a puffy rash. Methyl paraben is a cosmetic preservative that is also a known allergen. The term “fragrance” could mean anything and may include allergenic ingredients. Those with skin allergies and sensitivities may want to exercise caution with this product until you know how it will react with your particular skin type.
