Ilona markets skin care, makeup and fragrance lines that have been developed from original Hungarian formulations. Amongst Ilona’s skin care products is a Pro-Firming and an Anti-Aging line. With so many products to market, it seems unlikely that Ilona can focus on its skin care products. Instead of one proven formulation, Ilona appears to have taken the scatter-gun approach and offers several different formulations. There is no indication on the Ilona website of a money-back guarantee if the product does not meet your expectations, or of product samples so that you can try it out before purchasing.

There is nothing that appears to set Ilona apart from its hundreds of competitors. There is no indication of clinical studies supporting the effectiveness of the Ilona products, nor are there any customer testimonials that we could find. Ilona provides very basic descriptions of each product and in some cases this manufacturer does not even list the active ingredients in the products. There is no full ingredient list apparent.

The Ilona skin care line’s ingredients are difficult to decipher. Some products appear to be based on alpha hyrdoxy acid and vitamins. Ingredients that we look for in an effective anti-wrinkle product are collagen, Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline, which have been clinically-proven to reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate aging skin. There is no indication that the Ilona line contains these powerful ingredients.

Ilona does not provide a full ingredient list for any of its skin care products and that is problematic in two ways. The first is that it does not allow consumers to determine the quality of the product’s ingredients. Some skin care products contain low-quality “fillers” to keep costs down. The second problem is that those with skin allergies and sensitivities will have a difficult time assessing the allergenicity of the product. Many mediocre skin care creams and serums contain chemical preservatives called parabens, which are known allergens. The Ilona products may also contain synthetic dyes and fragrances which are common culprits in skin allergies.

These ingredients have a powerful effect when it comes to increasing the skin’s collagen production and erasing fine lines and wrinkles. The best skin care companies stand behind their products with a money-back guarantee. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case with the Ilona line. Ultimately, consumers may wish to seek out less-expensive and more effective anti-aging products.
