Overview

Imedeen is an oral supplement which the manufacturer claims will reduce the appearance of your fine lines and wrinkles. They claim that it will also improve the general quality of your skin, as well as diminish pore size, reduce any hyperpigmentation and also increase the moisture level in your skin by 30%. The ‘magic’ ingredient in Imedeen, according to the manufacturer, is something called Biomarine Complex, which is comprised of fish extract and polysaccharides. This supplement also includes Grape Seed extract, Lycopene, and a number of antioxidants. Polysaccharides are the sugar molecules that create the moisture binding gel like substance in the skin.

Product Details

Imedeen is manufactured by the Danish company Ferrosan A/S. It is a food supplement which can be used as part of your daily diet, and can also be taken with any other vitamins or minerals that make up your daily food regimen. The manufacturers advise you to take two tablets per day, basically for the rest of our life, as the manufacturers state that if you stop taking Imedeen the positive effects on your skin that you may have achieved will not last. There are two forms of Imdeen tablets available; Imedeen Time Renewal, which is for women who have not yet reached menopause, and Imedeen Prime Renewal for those women who are post-menopause. The cost of a month’s supply of Imedeen Time Renewal is $75 or $370 for a six months supply, and the cost of Imedeen Prime Renewal is $100 for a month’s supply or $500 for a six month supply.

The manufacturers have an extremely detailed website which gives details of ingredients in Imedeen. The principle ingredients in Imedeen are Biomarine Complex and Lypcophene GS. Both Biomarine Complex and Lycophene GS are patented ingredients. Biomarine Complex is made up of fish extracts and polysaccharides and Lycophene GS consists of Grapeseed Extract and Lycopene. Grapeseed Extract is an antioxidant which is a common ingredient in a number of anti wrinkle and anti aging products.

The Good

• An excellent official website, with contact details for those who have questions or concerns.
• There is a specific Imedeen product available for post menopause women.

The Bad

• It is not clear if the same results can be obtained on improvement in skin quality by simply naturally supplementing your diet with food and fish.
• In general the website is excellent but it is vague on one point. It says that pre menopause women need only take the product for three months, but then in the question and answers section of the website it states that improvements in skin quality will not be sustained unless it is taken on a long term basis.
• There is no free trial sample of Imedeen available.

Bottom Line

The concept of this product is good in that it highlights the importance of natural ingredients obtained from food and fish for good quality skin. The way in which the official website is structured also means that you can easily be won over by this product even before you try it! However, we would like to reserve judgement on this product as it does not say whether supplementing your diet naturally with food and fish rich in the vitamins and essential fatty acids that are in this product may in fact obtain the same results as buying and taking this product. Lycopene, for example, is a bright red carotenoid which can be found naturally in tomatoes and red fruit. We’re just not quite sold on using a diet supplement to treat the skin on your face.
