There are no active ingredients in this formulation that really stand out and set this product apart from its competitors. Retinyl Palmitate is an animal-sourced form of Vitamin A. The benefits of taking Vitamin A orally are well-researched and documented, but the benefits of applying it topically are less clear. Vitamin A also can cause photo sensitivity so be sure to wear a sunscreen on top of this product.

The most disappointing ingredients are methylparaben and propylparaben. Parabens are cosmetic preservatives that are also known allergens.
