InstA-Tox Review

Updated On:

InstA-tox bills itself as an instant wrinkle smoothing serum. InstA-tox is most often found on HSN- the Home Shopping Network. As at the time of this review, there does not appear to be an official company website. Therefore, our information will be assessed from the HSN and other online retailers’ websites. InstA-tox takes a different approach to wrinkles than most anti-aging product manufacturers. InstA-tox doesn’t claim to erase wrinkles, it just fills them in, much like spackle fills in small crack in a plaster wall. The effects of the product only last until you wash your face, making it more of a concealer product than a wrinkle treatment.

Of the over 200 customer reviews of the product on HSN, the average rating was 2.7 out of 5. The most common complaint seems to be the dry feeling of the face while wearing the product. The benefit of being able to order InstA-tox through HSN is that they offer a money-back guarantee on all of their products. There does not appear to be a way to get a product sample in order to try out InstA-tox before investing in an entire tube.

Product Details

According to the HSN website, the ingredients in InstA-tox are: Water, Sodium Silicate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Iron Oxides, Propylene Glycol, Retinyl Palmitate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben and Propylparaben. There are no active ingredients in this formulation that really stand out and set this product apart from its competitors. Retinyl Palmitate is an animal-sourced form of Vitamin A. The benefits of taking Vitamin A orally are well-researched and documented, but the benefits of applying it topically are less clear. Vitamin A also can cause photo sensitivity so be sure to wear a sunscreen on top of this product.

The most disappointing ingredients are methylparaben and propylparaben. Parabens are cosmetic preservatives that are also known allergens. Many high-quality skin care formulations exclude these ingredients because of that. Those who have sensitive skin or skin allergies should exercise caution before you know how InstA-tox will react with your skin. The Good

  • Full list of ingredients provided by retailer.
  • Easy to purchase on HSN.
  • Money-back guarantee through HSN.

The Bad

  • No official web presence.
  • No long-lasting effect on wrinkles.
  • Contains known allergens.
  • Does not contain clinically proven wrinkle-reducing ingredients like Matrixyl 3000 or Argiriline.

The Bottom Line

InstA-tox may well appeal to those consumers who want an immediate solution to their wrinkle problem. However, we must recommend to these consumers that they purchase a high-quality anti-wrinkle formulation instead: one that contains ingredients such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, Matrixyl 3000 or Argiriline. Effects of these ingredients are generally seen within 30 days and last for a longer period of time.
