Overview
iQ Kits Triple Action Face Lifting System is a kit of three products designed to give immediate, drastic and preventative results and to address the visible signs of aging, according to the manufacturer, iQ Cosmetics. The kit contains SkinTensive, a serum that claims to give an immediate Botox-like lift to the face, Life Without Wrinkles, a daily anti-wrinkle moisturizer, and Get Even Instant Correcting Compact, a wrinkle concealer.
iQ Triple Action appears to be available through several online retailers for around $165, a bit on the expensive side when compared to some of its competitors. We were unable to locate an official company website. It does not appear that a money-back guarantee is offered or that product samples or free trials are available. We were also unable to locate a full ingredient list or any reference to clinical studies supporting the effectiveness of the iQ Triple Action products.
Product Details
Both SkinTensive and Life Without Wrinkles contain Matrixyl 3000, an ingredient that we always look for in an anti-wrinkle formulation. Matrixyl 3000 has been independently proven to stimulate the body’s production of collagen and to smooth existing wrinkles. SkinTensive also contains hyaluronic acid, which has been proven to hold more than 1,000 times its weight in water and which can deeply hydrate the skin.
What troubles us most about the iQ Triple Action products is the lack of full disclosure of its ingredients. This especially impacts those with skin allergies or sensitivities. For example, parabens are cosmetic preservatives that are also known allergens. They are frequently not included in higher-quality skin care products because of this. It is unknown if the iQ Triple Action products contain these ingredients since no full list is posted. Those with skin allergies should exercise caution until you can review a full ingredient list.
The Good
- Two of the three products contain Matrixyl 3000.
- A complete anti-aging “suite” of products are available for different needs.
The Bad
- No money-back guarantee offered.
- No full ingredient list available.
- Not labeled as non-allergenic.
- No links to clinical studies supporting the effectiveness of these products.
The Bottom Line
There are some intriguing features of the iQ Triple Action kit. The inclusion of Matrixyl 3000 and hyaluronic acid definitely boost the appeal of these products. However, as always, we find it difficult to recommend a product when we are unable to determine what else might be in it, not only for the sake of identifying allergens but also to evaluate the quality of the ingredients and to ensure that there are no low-quality “fillers” among them. If you are looking for an effective anti-wrinkle skin care product, look for one with Matrixyl 3000 and hyaluronic acid, but also look for one with full disclosure and whose company backs it with a refund guarantee.
