The anti-aging skin care treatment kit named Issima is manufactured by the well-known beauty brand Guerlain. Those who sell Issima online tell us that it is an exclusive and innovative beauty treatment for the eyes and the face, which will improve the appearance of wrinkles and also improve the appearance of your complexion, making it more radiant and youthful. Issima is, in fact, a skin care program which is designed to be used over a period of eight weeks in order to see best possible results.

The Product Details

Those selling Issima by Guerlain online tell us that this anti-aging treatment consists of a three stage program. We are told that the products in stage one of the program are designed to prepare the skin for an intensive retinol treatment, and that this treatment makes up stage two of the program. We are told that stage two of the program consists of a retinol treatment which will smooth out wrinkles. Stage three of the Issima anti-aging program consists of a more intensive retinol treatment to be used in conjunction with eye contour patches. The Issima anti-aging kit is sold at a price of $230. Evidently it is extremely expensive and will not be within everyone’s budget.

Issima is not, however, the only anti-aging product on the market which contains retinol as a main active ingredient. Unfortunately those selling Issima on line do not give any information as to what makes it more effective or superior to other retinol based treatments for sale. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A and we know that too much Vitamin A can be dangerous for those who have any kind of liver disorder or are pregnant. We would therefore not recommend the Issima anti-aging kit for those who are pregnant or have any kind of liver problem.

The Bad

  • Issima is extremely expensive to purchase.
  • Some people experience side effects with products containing Retinol, such as skin peeling, and itching.
  • Anti-aging products containing Retinol are not suitable for those who are pregnant or who have any kind of liver disease.
  • We are not told what makes Issima more effective than other anti-aging products which contain Retinol.

The Bottom Line

Although many people may be tempted by Issima because it is manufactured by Guerlain, the price certainly makes it exclusive and outside of many women’s budget range. We are not convinced, however, that it is superior to other anti-aging treatments which contain Retinol and therefore cannot choose it over and above other Retinol based treatments.
