The Korres company is from Greece and was founded in 1996. It claims to have roots in the first Homeopathic Pharmacy of Athens. Korres offers complete hair and skin care lines, sun care products and herbal preparations. The Korres website boats that it offers approximately 150 all natural products. The products are sold on the international market place, primarily in department stores. Korres claims that its products are reasonably priced and suitable for everyday use. Further, Korres asserts that its products do not contain synthetic components such as mineral oil, silicone, and propylene glycol. Korres contends that its products are created with naturally derived products such as active plant extracts. Their featured product is the Anti-Aging Alpine Herb and Anti-Stress cream. This particular product is described as containing lecithin emulsifiers. However, the Korres website fails to mention what lecithin emulsifiers are and what purpose they serve for your skin. It is doubtful that the average skin care consumer will know what purpose this ingredient is meant to serve. This product also contains carob polysaccharides which Korres claims provide a long-term anti-wrinkle benefit. However, there is no mention of how carob serves to protect the skin from wrinkles on a long-term basis. Korres has asserted that the addition of liposomes to the product act as a barrier over the epidermis and protect from attack by free radicals. The supply of Alpine herbs is claimed to provide added oxygen to the skin so as to revitalize the skin and boost its natural defenses. It is commonly known that there is no data that serves to prove that increased oxygen will benefit aging skin.
