Overview

The La Therapie skin care line is primarily based on the use of unbuffered glycolic acid skin resurfacing, patented anti-oxidants, and Pycnogeol to help shape the perfectly formed skin cell. The company focuses a lot of its research and marketing efforts on its spa treatments. La Therapie claims to offer pharmaceutical and medical grade quality products. La Therapie states that their product’s efforts are focused primarily on skin lifting, anti-aging, deep cleansing, hyper pigmentation, acne, sun damage and scarring. La Therapie claims to provide immediate results. Some of La Therapie’s skin care products include Revitalizing Cleansing mask, Gentle Toning Lotion, Exfoliating Facial Polish and Crème Hydralift.

Product Detail

La Therapie’s Crème Hydralift claims to hydrate mature skin and delay the effects of gravity by supporting cellular renewal. This product also contains caviar. However, there is no scientific data that indicates how the caviar used in skin care products actually serves any benefit. Additionally, there is some doubt as to whether there is realistically enough caviar in many of the skin care products that tout it as an active ingredient to support cellular renewal. This product, however, does contain collagen, which offers topical support for skin elasticity. However, it would be more beneficial to the consumer if the product also contained a collagen producing agent so to as maximize the anti-aging effects. Increased elasticity will diminish wrinkles and increase overall skin firmness. While this product does offer some skin benefits we have doubts as to whether this product is one of the better anti-aging products on the market.

• Free samples of the product are not available via the La Therapie website.
• Minimal product usage instructions.
• Does not contain an ingredient to stimulate the production of collagen.
• Benefits of the caviar as an active ingredient are questionable, and this ingredient can be quite expensive.

Product Summary

La Therapie appears to be a good resource for various spa services. Unfortunately, the prices and the exact locations where these services are available are not listed on the website. While this product’s inclusion of glycolic acid looks solid, their emphasis on caviar as an active ingredient gives us pause, since there is little if any conclusive evidence of caviar’s effects as a topical skin treatment. However, this “exotic” ingredient has been included.
