Lindi Skin Review

Updated On:

Overview

Lindi Skin Care products have been developed especially for cancer patients experiencing the side effects of treatment such as excessively dry and cracking skin, and rashes. The Lindi line includes Bath & Body, Face & Lips, Skin Coolers, and Sunscreens. We will focus on the Face & Lip products to see how they compare to other skin care products on the market today.

The Lindi Skin Care Face & Lip products include: Face Serum, Face Moisturizer, Eye Hydrator, Face Wash, Face Tint, and Lip Balm. All of each product’s ingredients are listed on the website, which is a feature we like to see. Knowing all of the ingredients allows the consumer to assess whether there is a possibility of an allergic reaction and whether the product might contain low-quality “filler” ingredients. What we find missing on the Lindi Skin Care website is any reference to a money-back guarantee or the availability of product samples. Also missing is information about any clinical trials supporting the effectiveness of the products or of their ingredients.

Product Details

The Lindi Skin Care products are formulated to be strong yet non-irritating, according to the website. Several of the Face & Lips products contain a patented compound called “LSA Complex”. Although full ingredients are not available for this compound, the website says it contains powerful botanicals including chamomile, turmeric, grape seed, white tea, and white birch extract. Many of these ingredients are commonly found in “all natural” skin care products.

The Face Serum is based on avocado oil, a popular ingredient in moisturizing products. The Face Serum also contains Vitamins A and E. Vitamin E has some support to suggest that it has a healing effect on the skin but there is little research to show that Vitamin A applied topically has any real benefits. Another ingredient included in the Face Serum is Arginine (which should not be confused with the clinically-proven Argiriline). Most of the current research on Arginine, an amino acid, has been done on ingesting it orally. Lindi Skin Care does not appear to provide any links to clinical studies that show its benefits when applied to the skin.

The Good

  • Medically formulated for cancer patients.
  • Full list of ingredients available (except for the makeup of the featured LSA Complex.)
  • May contain some ingredients that have a moisturizing effect on the skin.

The Bad

  • No money-back guarantee offered or product samples available.
  • Not specifically formulated for wrinkle reduction.
  • May not contain clinically-proven ingredients like collagen and hyaluronic acid.
  • No links provided to research or testing of the products.

The Bottom Line

The Lindi Skin Care line may appeal to some consumers who feel that products developed specifically for the severe skin dryness that may occur with cancer must be extra effective on regular skin. However, generally speaking this is probably more of a niche skin care line. There are a number of ingredients in the formulations that may provide effective soothing and moisturizing benefits to the skin. However, with the thousands of skin care product choices on the market today, we find it difficult to recommend one where the company does not stand behind its products with a money-back guarantee. Consumers may wish to explore other moisturizing and anti-wrinkle products before settling on this one.

Our Top Pick For 2009:  Dermapril-SP

Dermapril-SP was rated the best-in-class performer, with a cutting-edge formula and results visible immediately after use. Matrixyl 3000™, the primary active ingredient in Dermapril-SP, is backed by clinical research that showed reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles of as much as 33% after two months of use. Additionally, the formula contains the European miracle ingredient Argatensyl™, which creates an immediate tightening effect on applied areas, making results visible within minutes of use.

The treatment helps the skin regain a more youthful biochemical makeup by supporting the natural production of three building blocks – Collagen, Fibronectin and Hyaluronic Acid. The result is a rapid rejuvenation, diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and other cosmetic signs of age caused by sun exposure, smoking, stress, and other common factors.

In clinical trials, Matrixyl 3000™ decreased the appearance of wrinkles by as much as 33% over a six week period. With the immediate tightening benefits of Argatensyl™, this formula has a completely unique combination of short-term cosmetic results as well as sustained, cumulative benefits to the skin. Common reported results include smoothing and firming; softer skin; diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; and healthier looking, glowing skin. Based on the high cost and quality of the ingredients, Dermapril-SP is reasonably priced. Customer satisfaction seems high and Dermapril-SP offers a risk-free trial, so users can evaluate the product prior to paying the full retail price.
