Overview
L'Oreal has been one of the most popular names in cosmetics for decades. Formed in Paris in the early 1970's, their familiar tagline “Because I'm Worth It”, is very recognizable around the world. L'Oreal has always created popular products but their most popular anti-aging line is called Revitalift.
The L'Oreal Revitalift line consists of 11 different products and kits. Some of the more common products are the Advanced Revitalift Daily Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate, Advanced Revitalift Complete Cream, and the Advanced Revitalift Double Eye Lift. Each one of these products uses various anti-wrinkle ingredients such as Pro-Retinol A, Pro-Tensium E, and Pro-Lastyl which are L'Oreal's take on common wrinkle fighters such as retinol, elastin, and peptide ingredients.
Product Details
Something that will immediately distinguish Revitalift products from similar anti-aging products is very obvious. The name L'Oreal will appeal more to your average consumer than “Joe's Brand”. L'Oreal Revitalift also has the benefits that a large global corporation has. By being a line launched by an already successful company, Revitalift has a lot more money to spend on research, development, endorsements, and packaging than smaller companies would.
The main ingredients you will find in L'Oreal Revitalift products are: Pro-Tensium, Pro-Lastyl, and Pro-Retinol. Pro-Tensium is a complex that claims to tighten your skin while helping it become stronger over time. Pro-Lastyl claims to “firm and renew” elastin fibers deep within the skin which may help eliminate the appearance of wrinkles. Pro-Retinol is a Vitamin A based compound that claims to boost collagen production while revitalizing your cells.
The Good
- L'Oreal is a very popular and well known cosmetics company.
- Inexpensive. A bottle of the Double Eye Lift will only cost around $15.
The Bad
- L'Oreal doesn't list the exact ingredients on the official website. Instead they explain their brand of the active ingredient and what it does.
- The Revitalift products are fairly specialized.
- The official website doesn't have any clinical data posted.
- We couldn't find any testimonials on the official website.
The Bottom Line
L'Oreal is a trusted brand for many people so we are sure the Revitalift brand is widely accepted. The Revitalift line is endorsed by Ande McDowell who is a moderately popular actress and the website is very nice looking and easy to use. The ingredients list is unavailable but we do know that these products contain elastin/collagen boosters as well as anti-oxidants but we don't see any powerful wrinkle fighters such as Matrixyl 3000. The Revitalift line may work ok, but you may have to keep looking for a product that combines a great hydrator and wrinkle fighter as well as anti-oxidants and elastin/collagen boosters.
