M.D. Forte is a line of skin care that is designed to take advantage of AHA, or Alpha- hydroxy Acid. These products offer higher amounts of glycolic acid (a from of AHA from sugar cane). M.D. Forte is only available through a physician, which is why the AHA concentrations can be higher. However, this can make it difficult to obtain. M.D. Forte is produced by a California based pharmaceutical company that specializes in skin care innovations. This skin care line also offers an AHA-free line for those consumers that have far more sensitive skin.

Product Detail

The main ingredient is the glycolic acid. In the cleanser line alone there are 3 different concentrations of the glycolic complex. There is a 12% solution, a 15% solution, and a 30% solution. As mentioned, there is also a cleanser that is glycolic acid-free.

There are many different combinations of products for renewal, moisturizing and protection, most with the glycolic compound as the ingredient of choice. There are products available with SPF 15, but some do not have any SPF at all. When using an AHA product, you must make sure you are also using a sun protectant, as AHA can leave your skin hypersensitive to the Sun's rays.
