Olay Definity is a product that is produced and manufactured by the well known company Oil of Olay. Olay Definity is a line that was developed by Oil of Olay and it is the newest anti-aging products from this company. To most consumers, Olay is better known as a maker of general skin health products such as moisturizers. However, we will take a closer look at these anti-aging products products from this big-name brand to determine whether or not they could be effective.
Product Details
At the time of this review there appear to be 15 products that are available within the Olay Definity line. The names of these products are Olay Definity Color Recapture Anti-Aging UV Moisturizer + Sheer Illuminating Coverage, Olay Definity Correcting Protective Lotion with SPF 15, 2 types of Olay Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming, Moisturizer, Olay Definity Intense Hydrating Cream, Olay Definity Night Anti-Spot Treatment, Olay Definity Night Restorative Sleep Cream, Olay Definity Self Repair Serum, Olay Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming UV Moisturizer, Olay Definity Illuminating Cream Cleanser, Olay Definity Illuminating Eye Treatment, Olay Definity Penetrating Mousse Cleanser, Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub. However, out of all of these products, it is Olay Definity Color Recapture Anti-Aging UV Moisturizer + Sheer Illuminating Coverage that appears to be the newest product in the Definity line so we will take a closer look at that one.
Not only does this product appear to be marketed as an anti-wrinkle agent, it is also supposed to help to reduce age spots. It is said that using this cream provides a hint of color that helps to deliver immediate results while also delivering the ingredients that are supposed to help the skin with long term results. This product is currently available in 3 different shades so that it can help with a larger variety of skin tones.
The official website has posted what appears to be a complete list of ingredients. However, since the list is rather extensive, we will only look at the ingredients that are listed as active. These ingredients are 3% Octisalate, which is commonly used as a sun block; 3% Octocrylene that is also considered to be a sun block; and 2% Avobenzone which is also used as a sunscreen. The only other ingredient that was found that may hold any relevance is the Dimethicone. It was found that this ingredient is usually used to treat scars, but no clinical data was able to be located at the time of this review.

The Bad
- Recommended to be used in a regimen with many other Olay products.
- Could find no clinically proven ingredients.
- Seems to be more of an Olay Definity makeup product/ cover up than a real wrinkle fighter.
- Olay is a big brand not known for anti-wrinkle skin care.
The Bottom Line
While Oil of Olay is a commonly known brand, it also appears to have nothing more than common ingredients in its wrinkle fighters. Although it may be considered to be innovative to combine something that provides instant results along with something that will be good for long lasting results, it doesn't do any good to do this if there is no proof that it can work. Not only that, but this product has more sun block in it than is necessary. This would be okay if they were trying to sell sunscreen, but there is more proof available for the sun block ingredients than there is for the anti-wrinkle agents that are included in this product. We feel that most women would probably like a little more proof before they decide to purchase this product.
