Overview
Osea is a beauty care company founded in the 1990’s by Jenefer Palmer. The inspiration for Osea began in her home. She created the product line at home in her kitchen. Palmer claims that all of the minerals and ingredients in Osea’s products are 100% natural. Except for two of her items, they are derived from seaweed and other ocean oils and components. Even though, the natural compounds come from the sea, the company states that they did not use ocean wildlife in any way, making the product cruelty-free. Osea skin treatment products claim to be composed of the purest ingredients. The company has achieved some success, including awards for Overall Best Product and Rising Star of Beauty.
The product lines advertised include moisturizers, cleansers and lotions. Various other products can also be found from the Osea official website. Along with purchasing products from their website, an individual can choose to partake in the company’s “virtual spa.” The spa allows people to explore their skin and find the best method for taking proper care for their skin’s unique textures. Osea’s website also permits a person to view each product in detail. They will be able to read the ingredients as well as understand the benefits of each item. Osea has been recognized in the press through various newspaper reports and magazines.
Osea’s product price range varies between $10 to $100. They offer pre-selected travel kits, masks and bath merchandise. The company is very straightforward in their product line. However, a return policy of any kind does not seem to be available.
Product Details
The ingredients in the Osea line vary. However, the company claims that all except for two products are completely natural. Some of the ingredients that you will find in these products are as follows: Algae Extract, Rose Flower Essential Wax, Macadamia, Grapefruit and Aloe Vera Juice. As one can see, these ingredients are indeed completely natural. Unfortunately, it looks like only the active Osea ingredients are listed.
The Good
- Natural ocean minerals and oils are used in each product.
- The prices are fairly inexpensive.
- Osea’s official website is simple to navigate and various pieces of information can be easily found.
The Bad
- Osea does not offer a free product trial or any product sales through their website. It is unknown if a return policy is in place.
- There are not very many products to choose from.
- Osea has not posted any studies done on the effectiveness of their merchandise.
- Testimonials or personal reviews of the products are not present on their website.
The Bottom Line
There are various companies that offer ocean minerals in their product line. Some of these ingredients are derived from marine life (for example, caviar is very popular) while others make a point of using sea salt, which some manufacturers claim can be therapeutic. We appreciate Jenefer Palmer’s deep commitment to natural, marine-based skin care, but we’d like to see some more trial info before we’re convinced that Osea’s marine-based approach is the way to go for anti-wrinkle treatments.
