According to the company website, all of the Peak Scents products are 100% natural, SLS free, paraben free, alcohol free, fragrance free, and involve no animal testing. We definitely like to see skin care products that do not contain parabens or fragrances as these are common triggers for skin allergies.
The Peak Scents line contains a number of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and treatments. In fact, the sheer number of products may confuse some consumers who are trying to determine which product is right for them. We will focus on Peak Scents’ Treatments line as many of these products are touted as being able to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Although the line provides lots of choices, we like to see a skin care company that focuses on developing one powerful and effective anti-aging product rather than taking the scattergun approach that Peak Scents uses.
Product Details
We will take a closer look at the ingredients in the Power Repair Vita-C Solution. The product claims to deliver high-potency antioxidants into the skin cells and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, under eye puffiness, and enlarged pores. It ingredients include: Purified spring water, aloe vera juice, witch hazel, plant extracts of organic green tea and horsetail herb, seaweed, rose water, Vit. C (Ascorbate), Vit. E (tocopheral), alpha lipoic acid, MSM, grapefruit seed extract, essential oils of lavender, ylang ylang, geranium and frankincense.
Vitamins C and E are common ingredients in restorative skin formulations and they can be important anti-oxidants and skin enhancers. However, Vitamin C can be unstable in solution form unless it is expertly formulated and we would have liked to have seen more information on how the company does this. Green tea extract is also a popular ingredient in natural skin care products and research suggests that it may have a beneficial effect on the skin. However, we do not see that any ingredient listed is likely to have dramatic or long-lasting effects on wrinkles and fine lines. For a power anti-wrinkle formulation, we look for ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid, and peptides like Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline. These ingredients travel deep into the sub-dermal layers of the skin to boost the body’s natural regenerative properties and to eliminate wrinkles at a deeper level. We see no indication that these ingredients are included in the Peak Scents formulations.

We believe that there are many ingredients in the Peak Scents products that may have a moisturizing and anti-oxidant effect on the skin and they may be sufficient for general moisturizing purposes. However, if you are seeking a targeted anti-wrinkle treatment, you may wish to look for products that contain clinically-tested and proven anti-wrinkle ingredients.
