Rejuvinol Review

Updated On:

Overview

The product Rejuvinol from DermaLogics laboratories is a moisturizing cream that claims to refresh damaged skin through hydration. According to the manufacturers, Rejuvinol should be paired up with a sister cream, Rejuvox. Rejuvinol is a morning cream, while Rejuvox is meant for nighttime use. Only with both steps will users achieve optimal results.

Like many other skin therapy products on the market today, Rejuvinol bills itself as an at-home, less invasive alternative to Botox. This product is specifically formulated to target signs of aging like crow’s feet, laugh lines, brow wrinkles and other facial fine lines. The product also promises “no side effects,” making it an appealing alternative treatment if the claims are true.

Product Details

The primary active ingredient found in Rejuvinol is Hyluronic Acid. This acid is found in several other popular skin treatments on the market as well, and is a natural substance that occurs in human skin. Little information is offered on how the Hyluronic Acid used in Rejuvinol is extracted or what the concentration found in the cream is. Another active ingredient in Rejuvinol AM is the patented peptide Argirelene. This peptide is manufactured and patented by a third party laboratory, and there are extensive clinical trials and tests that speak up for is efficacy.

Other ingredients found in Rejuvinol AM cream are: Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (Argireline), Green Tea Extract (leaf), Chamomile Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Korean Ginseng Extract (root), Olive Extract (leaf), Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Sunflower Oil, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Benzoate, Stearic Acid, Fragrance, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben. REJUVOX PM- Ingredients: Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (Argireline), Chamomile Extract (flower), Glycolic Acid, Malic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Willowbark Extract (bark), Retinyl Palmitate, Calcium Ascorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sunflower Oil, Fragrance, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

As you will see from the full ingredient list, Rejuvinol also contains several parabens, a cheap preservative. Parabens have been linked to several types of skin irritation. Rejuvinol also contains artificial fragrances, which can also be an irritant.

The Good

  • While it is difficult to find an obvious official website for Rejuvinol, many sites online offer discounts on bulk orders.
  • Product contains the patented peptide Argireline.
  • Product contains moisturizers.

The Bad

  • Product contains parabens, which have been linked to skin irritation.
  • Product contains artificial fragrances, which can irritate some skin types.
  • Difficult to find an official website for product.
  • While many websites speak of “proven results” and “scientific evidence” it is difficult to actually find what these claims refer to.
  • Price ($80+, depending on the retailer) can be a bit steep for a moisturizer.
  • Must pair with second product for best results.

The Bottom Line

Rejuvinol appears to be a pretty standard moisturizing product, although it is offered at an above-standard price. It looks to us like, compared to some of the premium brand moisturizers on the market, Rejuvinol has little besides Argireline to set it apart from lower tiers of products. If you are using no moisturizer at all, you will probably see some skin benefits with Rejuvinol. However, we would recommend searching out a full skin care system that also incorporates moisturizers if you are serious about reducing wrinkles.
