Overview
Revitacil has now been changed to Everderm-CL. Vitabase sells everderm-CL. This company manufactures and distributes a host of different products from stretch-mark creams to nutritional supplements.
Everderm-CL is a stretch mark cream that can also be used as a wrinkle-reducing cream for your face.
Product Details
With use as a stretch mark cream, one tube can last 4 to 6 weeks. For use as a wrinkle reduction cream it can last 4-6 months.
Everderm-CL claims to work by using herbal extracts and collagen fractions to bring back the elasticity in the skin and to improve collagen levels.
The ingredients to Everderm-CL are:
Deionized Water, C12-15 Alky Benzoate, Sesame Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sweet Almond Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Skin Repair Complex(Biopeptide-CL, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Siegesbeckia Orientalis Extract, Polyglyceryl Methacrylate, Propylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Carbomer, Polysorbate-16, Glucosamine HCL, Algae Extract, Yeast Extract, Urea, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiaticia (Hydrocotyl Extract), Coneflower (Echinacea Angustifolia Extract), Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Bearberry Extract and Licorice PTH), Glycerin, PPG-12/SMDI Copolymer, Slyceryl Stearate, Cetearth-20, Barbadenise Leaf Juice (Aloe Extract), Rose Mainus Officinalis(Rosemary Extract), Sambubus Nigra Flower(Elder Extract), Cucumis Sativus(Cucumber Extract), Equisetum Arvenes(Horsetail Extract), Tea Tree Oil, Shea Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate, Mango Butter, Methylparaben, Polyacrylamide C13-14 Isoparafin Laurth-7, Propylparaben, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Retinyl Palmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Hedera Helix (Ivy Extract), Aesculus Hippocastenum (Horse Chestnut Extract), and fragrance.
The Good
- Everderm-CL does have a host of natural extracts in the ingredients.
- You have a 60 day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied.
- You can theoretically use this product on any type of scar, not just stretch marks or wrinkles.
The Bad
- You must apply Everderm-CL (Revitacil) up to 4 times a day everyday. Without extended and disciplined use, the cream will not work. There is a lot of room for human error.
- There are parabens in the ingredients list. Parabens are synthetic preservatives that are linked to skin irritations and allergic reactions.
- The Vitabase Company gives us little information other than to trust that they know what they are doing. They say there are clinical studies to prove that all these products work, but they do not offer them.
The Bottom Line
If you are looking for a less expensive option to liposuction, we see no reason why you can't try Everderm-CL, but this doesn't mean it's the best we've found. With a lot of retailers being able to sell this, we wonder if this is more about making the most money than the effectiveness of the product. The good news is that Everderm-CL is honest about it's ability to correct everything and says that without continued and disciplined application you won't see the results you want. The amount of natural ingredients can come as a pleasant alternative to those products in which there are no natural ingredients at all. However, this product markets itself more as a treatment for serious stretch marks and scars, and not as a treatment for wrinkles and the effects of aging. Women (and men) who are looking for help with fine lines and photodamage may want to find a more targeted product.
