Sederma is a skin care company which has been in business since 1964. The company claims to be “devoted to the development of active ingredients and the creation of innovative concepts intended for the Cosmetic industry and based on the mastery of biotechnology, molecular synthesis, and vegetal extraction”. Sederma offers a variety of different skin care products including Dynalift, Aqualance, O.D.A. White, Essenskin, Ovaliss, Matrixyl 3000, Lumisphere, Renovage, Volufiline, Venuceane, Evermat, Bodyfit, and Depiline. Certain Sederma products are made specifically to address the challenges of aging skin. These products include Venuceane, Renovage, Matrixyl 3000, and Dynalift.

Product Details

Venuceane is marketed as a way to “age proof your skin”. Sederma claims that with the use of Venuceane, consumers can save five years. The company claims that clinical trials proved participants had “a stability or even a decrease of the signs of aging”. Matrixyl 3000 is another anti-aging product by Sederma. It promises to reduce the depth of wrinkles and smooth the surface of the skin. Sederma Renovage is marketed to “extend your skin’s youthspan”. In clinical trials, Sederma said that Renovage “exerts a significant and visible activity on both functional and structural signs of ageing”. Dynalift is the last of the anti-aging products from Sederma. Dynalift is said to be “an invisible film to smooth the features immediately and lastingly”. Unfortunately, Sederma does not provide any product ingredients we are unable to determine the truth to these claims.

The Good

  • Sederma shares the results of its clinical trials with consumers.
  • Matrixyl 3000 is a powerful ingredient which produces dramatic results when used for its anti-aging properties.

The Bad

  • Sederma does not disclose its lists of product ingredients for consumer review. The official product website for Sederma tells customers to contact them directly for more information about each product.

The Bottom Line

Besides Matrixyl 3000, we are unsure if any of the Sederma products contain advanced ingredients which are key to successful results. It would be better if Sederma would disclose all of its product ingredients on the official product website, as customers like to do their research and purchase products which will produce the most noticeable results. At the time of this review, consumers are unable to make a purchase directly from the manufacturer. In fact, in our search for information it does not appear that Sederma products can be purchase online at all. This may limit Sederma’s customer base if the products are only available through select distribution channels. At this time, we are unable to recommend Sederma products to consumers since there is a serious lack of information available such as pricing, ingredients, and where to make a purchase. Consumers should look elsewhere for a more reliable company and product.
