Senna Cosmetics is a beauty company which offers a variety of products include Brow Kits, Make Up, Skin Care products, and Brushes & Tools. The Senna Cosmetics company was founded in 1976 by a celebrity makeup artist named Eugenia Weston. Senna Cosmetics claims its products are used by such celebrities as Jessica Simpson, Bette Midler, Paula Abdul, Tori Spelling, and others.

Senna Cosmetics offers a variety of anti-aging products including Silky Firmer Serum, Toner, Moisturizer, Eye Cream, and Sun Protection. Silky Firmer Serum is marketed as a product that can firm, brighten, and repair the skin. This product’s active ingredient is ten percent Argireline. Argireline is a powerful, proven ingredient for anti-aging which is used as a topical alternative to Botox injections. Senna Toner comes in three varieties: Calming Black Tea Tonic, Clarifying Lemon Toner, and Hydrating Botanical Toner. The Hydrating Botanical Toner is an anti-aging product which includes antioxidant vitamins and carrot which are said to soften and hydrate the skin. Antioxidants are also known to protect the skin from free radical damage which can lead to premature aging of the skin. Senna also offers four different moisturizers including: Vitasome Recovery Cream, Energizing Oil-Free Moisturizer, Marine Algae Restoration Cream, and Botanical Oil Control Lotion. Some of the ingredients in these products are: Tea Tree, Sage, Marine Algae, Antioxidants, Vitamins, and Amino Acids. The Marine Algae Restoration Cream claims to firm and hydrate with peptides and that “clinical studies show increased firmness by 25% and improved hydration by 70% in just four weeks”. Senna Cosmetics sells two different eye cream products which are the Eye Contour Cream and the Lift & Lighten Eye Cream. These products contain ingredients such as Revitalin, Sodium RNA, Vitamin K, and Shea Butter. The eye cream products are meant to hydrate and firm the skin around the eyes and also to reduce the appearance of dark circles.

It does not appear that the majority of Senna Cosmetic’s products contain advanced ingredients. The Silky Firmer Serum is the most promising product in their skin care line as it is said to contain ten percent Argireline which is known to work the same as Botox injections by paralyzing the facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and prevent future wrinkles. It would be better if Senna Cosmetics would include other advanced ingredients in all of its anti-aging products.
