SilkSkin Ultra is a set of three enhanced antioxidant formulated skincare products that include a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. The SilkSkin Ultra products are advertised as a solution for acne prone, stressed and sun damaged skin and as an “advanced, supercharged version” of their SilkSkin Three Minute Beauty System.

Product Details

The SilkSkin Ultra three step process begins with the SilkSkin Ultra Cleanser that claims to be gentle enough for delicate skin and contains Dermachlorella, an active ingredient derived from microalgae used to stimulate the production of collagen. Step two in the process is the SilkSkin Ultra Toner which contains the well-known natural Witch Hazel formula, a natural astringent, combined with algae extracts for anti-aging purposes. Last, but not least, is the SilkSkin Ultra Advanced Moisturizer reinforced with Alpha Hydroxy Acids which penetrates the skin and assists in the removal of dead skin cells to reveal a fresh, new layer of skin. The three piece system is available individually or together in the Ultra Kit for the best value. The website does not list any of its ingredients which makes us unclear and unsettled on the effectiveness of the SilkSkin Ultra products in general.

The Bad

  • SilkSkin does not list its product ingredients anywhere on its website.
  • The official product website for SilkSkin Ultra is unprofessional and difficult to navigate.
  • SilkSkin products may not contain powerful ingredients that are backed by scientific evidence such as Hyaluronic Acid and may not be effective in producing noticeable results.
  • The website has a flawed return policy that only refunds for the purchase price and not the shipping and handling charges although claiming to aim for complete customer satisfaction.

The Bottom Line

SilkSkin Ultra products are readily available with online retailers such as SilkSkin.com. They are reasonably priced under $50, and willingly accept returns within six months of the purchase date, but do not refund for the cost of shipping and handling.
