On this website critics examine a number of popular health and beauty products available on the market today. The information presented on the site about each of the products assessed has been obtained from publicly available sources. Those critics and this web site are sponsored by Rauscher | Bekke, manufacturers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this website is intended to inform and educate consumers. OverviewAs an alternative to painful and expensive injections of Botox, Sta-Tight provides similar results through natural skin-firming action. Developed by Dr. Lewis M. Feder, a Board Certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon practicing on New York’s Fifth Avenue, the website claims that women have been benefiting for years from his treatments. With a wide variety of international mentors, Dr. Feder has been on the cutting-edge of the industry constantly performing new procedures on his clients. Daily use of Sta-Tight claims to produce results in about three days and full results can be seen in a little over one month with permanent results over time. In a pump-style bottle, the gel form of the product is applied in the same manner as many skin care creams. Claiming effects around your eyes, mouth, and forehead, the gel helps reduce crows-feet, laugh lines, and furrow lines by treating the same muscles that cause wrinkles as Botox. Rather than paralyzing facial muscles like Botox, Sta-Tight claims that it relaxes them. Product DetailsWrinkles are reduced by Sta-Tight in a two-part process with non-toxic molecular action. The first ingredient, Sodium Hyaluronate, functions as a dermal hydrator to provide suppleness, smoothness, and hydration for your skin. The second most important active ingredient Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 has been found to provide wrinkle reduction by thirty percent in a study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science when used over a period of a little more than one month. However, this study was only conducted on the active-ingredient, not on the product itself. The study concludes that the active ingredient produces “remarkable anti-wrinkle activity when applied topically.” Furthermore, with indefinite use Sta-Tight claims to have preventive qualities that inhibit new wrinkles from arising. The Good
The Bad
The Bottom LineSta-Tight is one of the many skin care products on the market that’s taking aim at habitual Botox users. And we agree, a cream that can exactly replicate the proven effects of the needle sounds like a dream come true. However, the lack of practical clinical trials and collagen-stimulating ingredients in Sta-Tight makes us think this cream may not be the miracle we’re waiting for. Many products on the market claim to imitate the Botox effect sans injection, and we’d be more likely to try one that offers detailed clinical proof of results. Also, we’d look for a cream that specifically aims to promote collagen production in addition to the muscle relaxant properties claimed by Sta-Tight. Fighting wrinkles on two proven levels seems like a potent combination, and there are several products out there that do both.
