Theraderm Review

Updated On:

The Theraderm Skin Renewal line is one of four lines offered by Therapon Skin Health. These products are sold through the Therapon website and a handful of online retailers. They are also available through some physician's offices. The Theraderm line is primarily focused on "promoting healthy, younger looking skin", according to the company website. The Theraderm Skin Renewal System includes the Cleansing Wash, Fruit Acid Exfoliant, OPC Reparative Gel and a Facial Moisturizer. The products are sold in a complete set since they are designed to work most effectively when they are used together. This can be a pricy prospect for consumers, since the full set sells for about $150 at the time of this review. We prefer when companies will offer a single anti-wrinkle cream that can stand on its own or be combined with a consumer's current skin care regimen for cost effectiveness and convenience.

We are pleased to see the Therapon website provides customer testimonials to back the claims of their products. We are also happy to find that the Theraderm Skin Renewal System is available for purchase on the company website, since this makes it convenient for consumers to research and shop at the same time. We were unable to find any sort of money back guarantee policy, which is always a concern for a customer who is trying a new product line for the first time. In addition, the company provides little information about the individual products with no ingredient lists available at the time of this review.

Product Details

The Therapon website does not provide complete formula listings for any of the Theraderm Skin Renewal products, which means that consumers cannot accurately assess the products for effectiveness or safety. We are very disappointed when a company is not forthcoming with this information and urge consumers to shop with companies that are willing to disclose complete ingredient lists.

We do know that the Reparative Gel contains hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and vitamin E, based on information we found on websites selling the products. Hyaluronic acid is a common ingredient found in many anti-aging formulas, since it can effectively hydrate the skin and help it retain important moisture. However, hyaluronic acid is not particularly effective on wrinkles, unless it is combined with patented anti-wrinkle agents like matrixyl or argireline. We have no way of knowing whether the Theraderm Skin Renewal System contains either of these.

The Good

  • The Theraderm Skin Renewal System is sold through the company website and doctor's offices.

The Bad

  • The company does not disclose complete ingredient lists for any of the products.
  • There does not appear to be a money back guarantee on purchases.
  • The products are sold in a set, meaning more expense to the consumer.

The Bottom Line

The Theraderm Skin Renewal System may be effective in reducing the signs of aging, but we have no way of knowing for sure since the company does not provide us with complete formulas. We would urge consumers to shop for products through companies that make this information readily available, in order to make educated decision about their skin care needs.
